The Fresh Prince, aka Will Smith, and DJ Jazzy Jeff reunite! At the Hancock premiere party in Hollywood, the duo peformed Summertime and Brand New Funk. This is a hip-hop reunion I never thought would happen and I can’t lie.. I’m a little excited because I spent hours singing the Fresh Prince theme song in the good ol days growing up in the 90’s. Get ready for the summer summertime! Ha.

I Am Legend was good up until the last ten minutes. Seriously. I walked out of the theater pissed off because the last 10 minutes of the movie completely sucked. It felt like the writers had the whole thing written except for the end and were like:
Writer 1: “hey… dude - look what time it is.”
Writer 2: “shit, I didn’t realize it was so late.”
Writer 1: “Yeah man - we need to get all the way across town and this time a day - you know traffic is gonna be a real bitch.”
Writer 2: “Totally, we should get outta here in like… 20 minutes so we can get to the restaurant on time.”
Writer 1: “Yep - plus we start that other project tomorrow. Let’s just finish this donkey up and end this thing - I mean, we already killed the fucking dog - which I told you I didn’t want to do.”
Writer 2: “Stop whining about the dog already. Let’s just bang this piece out and the hell outta here.”
Apparently - the original ending didn’t “test” well with the test audiences - which were apparently made up of idiots.

This is what Corey woulda blogged about…
“Aight aight, enough with this Britney Spears BS. I’m over BWG’s sucking at popstar life… CHAMILLIONAIRE’S NEW ALBUM COMES OUT TODAY! Ultimate Victory is Cham’s second solo album and has all of the hip hop ears perked. He boasts a clean album. WTF? NO CUSSING?! Is he getting all Will Smith on us?”
I was Google-Talking (”green dotting”) to my boy and fellow Hip Hop aficionado, LuderChris, in Houston, and here’s what he says ’bout Chamillionaire…
chris: it should be good
one of the last Houston rappers that actually writes stories, not just club hooks, and thinks outside the box
great flow
great voice
complicated cadence in his rhymes
There you have it. Guests on the album include UGK, Krayzie Bone, Lil’ Wayne, Slick Rick, Tony Henry, Famous, and Devin The Dude.
