So former White House press secretary Scott McClellan admits to giving talking points direct from White House sources to right wing pundits, and Fox is fighting back like mad and Dizzying King of Spin O’Reilly immediately using the QUICK! point the finger elsewhere QUICK! tactic. You fucking soul-less coward. O’Reilly and his ilk — and folks like Chris Matthews on the other side as well — should all be shipped to Iraq to have their bodies used as human shields to protect our soldiers. But even McClellan’s claim comes as a shock, in a not so shocking way. FUCKITWE’REDOOMED.

The potency of marijuana increased last year to the highest it has been in 30 years. A report released by the White House said that this means there are greater health risks for those who view the drug as harmless. Analysis was done at the University of Mississippi’s Potency Monitoring Project to track the average amounts of THC. Levels have more than doubled since the 1980’s due to sophisticated growing techniques, like hydroponic systems.
John Walters, director of the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy, said there are risks of psychological, cognitive and respiratory problems and the potential to become dependent on cocaine and heroin. I just have to say I have never used marijuana then felt the sudden urge to pick up a needle but hey, whatever. There’s no data that shows the higher potency leads to more addiction. Marijuana withdrawl symptoms are said to be mild irritability, craving for weed and decreased appetite. Well then wouldn’t you just smoke some weed, be happy, end the cravings and eat a crapload of food? Being hungover from drinking way to many dollar beers or running out of coffee seems way worse. Like a psychology professor at the State University of New York said, “Stronger cannabis leads to less inhaled smoke.”

After listening to Stephen Colbert’s NPR interview yesterday, I was reminded just how awesome he is. I haven’t had the joys of cable TV for a while now, which may lead to me buying his book, I Am America (And So Can You!).

Just look at that marvolous piece of literature. I’m not sure if it’s actually marvelous, as I haven’t read it yet, but if you listened to Colbert read from his book in the Fresh Air episode (above-linked), then you know it’s probably going to be good. Anyway, during the interview they spoke about his White House Correspondent’s Dinner speech, bashing George Bush while sitting an arm’s length away, so I looked it up today…and enjoyed reliving every moment. God Bless you Stephen Colbert…God Bless and keep you.
there’s a long excerpt of the book after the jump for your enjoyment.
