There’s no doubt about it; Synthesis fucking loves Lamb of God. Currently, The only disk in my bathroom CD player is Sacrament, and the only disk I’ve listened to in my car for the last 3 weeks is Killadelphia. These dudes are one of the biggest/most important band on the current metal scene (and that’s including Metallica).

Following a recent trend of in studio camera work by bands like Saosin and Underoath, the quintet have recently turned on the red lights and started streaming the studio 24 hrs a day. Two cams have been setup (mixing and live room) to let voyeurs in on watching Chris Adler track his drums for the upcoming February, 2009 release.

Drummer Chris Adler will be heading into a NYC studio today to begin recording for the band’s upcoming album, slated for a February 2009 release on Epic Records. There will be 2 live streaming web cams in the studio documenting every moment of the process on Lamb of God’s Kyte channel at www.lamb-of-god.com.

One camera will be in the live room, filming everything drums, and the other camera will be in the mix room, where producer Josh Wilbur will be dialing in the signature, brutal LAMB OF GODsound!

“I’m showing up to kick ass and chew bubblegum, and I’m all out of bubblegum,” said Adler.

The as-yet-untitled album will see a February 2009 North American release on Epic Records withRoadrunner Records handling all NON North American releases. Following production, LAMB OF GOD will head out on an extensive world tour commencing with their support slot in December with Metallica.

Underoath is a solid heavy rock band. I don’t know what the cool kids are calling them today, but as Billy Joel said, “It’s all rock and roll to me”. 2006’s Define the Great Line sold a shit-ton of copies it’s first week with no promotion, and now it’s certified gold, so I think they’re doing decent.

With that being said, their new disk Lost in the Sound of Separation drops in stores today.   Lost… picks up where Define left off, dropping most of the ambiance in favor of strait up brutality.   Whenever I end up paying my bills, I’m opting for the special edition with the 40 minute ‘making of’ documentary. When our good friends Emery recently announced they were ending their run with Switchfoot and Athlete on the TWLOHA-sponsored Up In Arms Tour a few weeks early, internet naysayers had the rumor mill working overtime. But the band put all rumors as to their demise to rest today with the announcement that they will be joining up with longtime musical cohort Aaron Gillespie on his last tour with The Almost before devoting his attention to Underoath full time for awhile. Here’s the announcement:

We are extremely excited to announce that we will be joining The Almost for their US tour in May and June. We’ve known Aaron for some time, and since our 2007 Australian tour with Underoath was such a good time, we know we had to go out with him again. Underoath’s last release, Define the Great Line, definitely owned my cd player for a month or two, and I’m not the only one in the office that could attest to that. Since them, they’ve dropped a dvd (777), and are soon releasing a live cd entitled Survive, Kaleidescope, on May 27th, making them about 1,000,00 times more productive than almost every other band EVArRr.

Currently, UO is in the studio with Adam D. From Killswitch the follow up to Define, which promises to be amazing. Check out the first studio update…

The album is set to come out September 2nd.
