Travis Barker is Suing Everyone

It’s a rough day round these parts. Everyone seems to be just getting over the weekend’s debauchery, and we’ve resorted to pulling out the crappy beers already to get us through the rest of the day. We’re working to pull an early deadline on our weekly paper, which means we’re actually (close to) working at full speed. It’s truly a remarkable sight.
With that being said, recent plane crash victim and longstanding badass drummer Travis Barker doesn’t seem to happy about the plane crash that killed 4 people and sent him and DJ AM to the emergency room. The former Blink, current +44 drummer is suing Bombardier Inc (who made the plane), Clay Lacy Aviation/Global Exec Aviation (the charter companies) and Goodyear Tires (tire manufacturer). Some people are shocked to learn that a guy who saw his friends die as he was set on fire by a flaw in the airplane, which is a little disturbing considering that HE WAS FUCKING SET ON FIRE. From E!/WWTDD:
“I wouldn’t have been in the state I was in if I wasn’t in the crash,” Barker — who blames the pilots and defective equipment — tells E! News. “You know, I wouldn’t have third degree burns all over my body or be prohibited to do certain things. I can’t go swimming, I can’t do some of the things that normal people can do. I didn’t ask for that to happen.” Asked whether he thinks he will win the suit, he says, “I don’t know, I just think positive. I mean, I think so. If something goes wrong that’s not supposed to go wrong or you fall victim of it,” he adds, “I think you should be compensated.”

Travis Barker and DJ AM Critically Injured in Plane Crash

Travis Barker and DJ AM were both critically injured in a plane crash in South Carolina and are currently being treated in a burn center in Augusta, Georgia. Four other died in the crash. Barker and AM had just performed at a free T-Mobile-sponsored show Columbia, South Carolina, along with Perry Farrell and Gavin DeGraw. Farrell’s manager, Peter Katsis, confirmed that Farrell was not on the plane but there’s no word yet if DeGraw was onboard or not. Barker and AM just put out the “Fix Your Face” mixtape (which you should download).
Lexington County Deputy Coroner Brian Setree identified two of the crash victims: the plane’s pilot, Sarah Lemmon, 31, of Anaheim, California, and her co-pilot, James Bland, who was 52 and lived in Carlsbad, California. Setree also confirmed that Barker’s 29 year old assistant, Chris “Little Chris” Baker, also died in the crash. He was 29, and lived in Studio City, California.
