Hi, Texas. How are you? The next leg of the Scion Installation 4 tour is rolling through Austin. The show, titled It’s a Beautiful World features artists such as Dalek, Blaine Fontana, Jeff Soto, Angela Boatwright, RETNA, Ron English and Sam Flores. The exhibit will open at the Gallery Lombardi on Thursday, Jan. 17th with a reception featuring It’s a Beautiful World artists Fontana, Andrew Pommier, Michael Sieben and Tim McCormick to be held that day from 6 - 10pm. The exhibit will run until Feb. 22nd.

For those of you in the LA area, Giant Robot is curating a show at the Scion Installation LA in Culver City. The show, titled “To the Masses” features the work of Caroline Hwang, Ben Woodward (his piece, “Heart Out,” is pictured above), Feric, Dan-ah Kim, Brian Ralph, Eishi Takaoka, Kohei Yamashita, Olaf Ladousse and French. “To the Masses” runs from August 25th through September 8th, with a reception on the 25th from 7 to 10 PM. The gallery is located at 3521 Helms Ave. (at National) in Culver City, CA.

If you’re in Los Angeles and are looking for an open bar this weekend, head down to the Scion Installation L.A. at 3521 Helms Ave. (at National) for the opening of a new art exhibit titled Life Size. The opening reception lasts from 7 - 10PM, and the exhibit will feature works by: Esao Andrews, Grant Barnhart, FEEDtank, R. Grimes, LEBO, Ronald Kurniawan, Francesco LoCastro, Roy Miranda, Jen Stark, Manny Prieres, Christopher Ryniak, Josh Slater and Nathan Spoor. DJ Pubes (I know) will be on hand and there’s free valet parking. Don’t worry, your xB will be in good hands. I just got one myself–a 2005–and they really do make you a better person.

That’s my baby. She still needs a name. Life Size runs from 7.7.7 to July 21st and is curated by Francesco LoCastro.
