School of Rock-style band camp The Collective Sound, documentary Episode 6. Do eeeeet.

Apart from boasting a shithead college for shithead students and the world famous Sierra Nevada Brewery, Chico, California, has a thriving (if not nationally recognized) music scene. Many of the players in this scene contribute to a summer School of Rock-style band camp named The Collective Sound. Last year they decided to start putting together a documentary of the goings-on of the staff and the campers, aged 12-18. Watching it will give you that warm on the insides feeling. Centennial High School in Portland, OR has decided that kids shaving lines in their eyebrows a la Soulja Boy is SERIOUS FUCKING BUSINESS. Any student caught with thusly groomed eyebrows is being sent home until they shave off their eyebrows completely:

Centennial administrators are telling students with the lines that they can’t return to school until they shave their eyebrows off. Assistant Principal Mark Porterfield said the students are not suspended, but they are not allowed in school until they cooperate.

Andy Gonzalez, a junior at Centennial with one vertical line shaved down his brow, was studying for a test when a security guard approached him and said, “If you’re going to come to school like that, don’t come at all.” Gonzalez, 17, says he isn’t in a gang and shaved the lines to look cool and impress girls. But he says he’d be humiliated if he had to shave his brows off.

We’re not going to get into the history of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. But targeting students is not cool. Eight killed, nine wounded in a West Jerusalem school by a Palestinian gunman.

Hamas’ tactics will never result in the Palestinian people getting their parents’ land back. Never. Post-Diaspora Jews Do Not Fucking Back Down. Hamas’ tactics will only cause Israel to fight back harder, causing the death of more Palestinian civilians. And the cycle of violence continues and continues and continues, generation after generation.

Palestinians need their own MLKjr. So do the Israelis.
