One of my all-time favorite “bands” (it’s actually just one dude, James Dewees, but whatever…) Reggie & The Full Effect has a new record, Last Stop: Crappy Town, hitting stores in a couple of weeks. The record is a bit of a heavier, more serious change of pace from Reggie’s semi-humorous crunch-pop style, drawing as much Dewees experience as drummer for seminal hardcore band Coalesce than from his days as keyboardist for The Get Up Kids. You can check out a couple of tracks off the record, including “G” which was posted today, on the band’s Myspace ahead of the 6/17 release of the record. Take the jump to check out the obligatory press release, the tracklisting and to learn moar about some of the badass guests on this CD… (more…)

Reggie and the Full Effect!!!!!!!!!1111111111
Reggie and the Full Effect are fucking amazing. Read his bio. I wrote it (for true!). Dude used to be in The Get Up Kids, but then they fell off like a bunch of wiggas and he went out to keep his own shit up and it fucking PWNS. He has a new record coming out this year that he did with Sean Beavan (who coincidentally also has a new record out with his own solo project 8mm). In the meantime, buy all of his old records and recognize game. He’s on tour with Hellogoodbye, who kind of suck, but whatever:
