If you happened to partake in the festivities however, you may want to be wary. A bout of lead poisoning in Leipzig, Germany baffled doctors and it looks like Mary Jane was to blame.

According to a report in the New England Journal of Medicine, over the past 3-4 months about 29 incidents of lead poisoning were reported in the Leipzig area. This alarmed city officials, as Leipzig has been lead poison free in recent decades, and they were eager to discover the cause of the poisoning in case a public threat were imminent. Rikki Rockett, former Poison drummer, was served with an arrest warrant for alleged rape Monday night by LAPD’s finest at the LAX Airport.

The arrest warrant issued for Poison drummer Rikki Rockett stems from an incident that occurred on September 23, 2007 at a casino in Mississippi. According to cops Rockett was staying — not playing, music that is — at the Silver Star Hotel & Casino when he allegedly raped another female guest in his hotel room.

We’re told the woman did not report the alleged assault until several days later, when she came in to the Neshoba County Sheriffs department and filed a report. After determining there was probable cause for Rockett, real name Richard Ream, to be arrested, a warrant was issued. TMZ

Apparently Rockett was released from jail after Mississippi Law Enforcement chose not to extradite, and his whereabouts are currently unknown. Rockett and his representatives have yet to comment on the issue. I find it kind of odd that the Rockett would need to rape a girl. I’m not saying he didn’t, but I mean come on the guy was in freaking Poison and look at all that action Bret Michaels is getting on Rock of Love.

Rican was found at the Extended Stay America Hotel late Thursday night.

The Extended Stay America Hotel looks like kind of a dump - it’s off the strip in Vegas features newly renovated rooms and valley views (and apparently last night a neighbor mixing ricin).

Three hotel employees and one hotel guest were taken to the hospital due to possible exposure. Ricin as small as a pinhead can be deadly.

Las Vegas Metro Homeland Security Capt. Joe Lombardo said “Ricin is very serious. Something as small as the size of a pin can be deadly. An individual citizen, other than being involved in cancer research or cancer prevention, would not have any legal means or proper means to have it” .

Ricin is a powerful poison made from Castor Beans. According to the CDC it has some “legitimate medical uses” but it’s also considered a potential terrorist weapon. Only a tiny amount is needed to kill a person and many people can be killed with a large amount.

Homeland Security officials and the FBI are investigating along with the Las Vegas police but officials do not believe it is related to terrorism. Lovely.

I had never heard of Aqua Dots or Bindeez Beads until yesterday, when it was announced that their manufacturer is recalling all the Aqua Dots in Australia and the US. As it turns out, when ingested, that shit turns into something close to GHB (a common type of roofie) once inside your body.
