More Oasis Show Cancellations

Apparently, when Oasis’s Noel Gallagher got attacked from behind earlier this month at a gig in Toronto, his pride wasn’t the only thing that was damaged. According to NME, three of Noel’s ribs have been either broken or dislodged, forcing the band to postpone three upcoming European gigs. Fans who’ve purchased tickets are advised to hold onto them until future notice.

And in case you haven’t gotten your fill of the incident:

  • After being knocked to the ground by an attacker during Sunday night’s Oasis show in Toronto, Noel Gallagher has been advised to cancel tonight’s show. At least he got a doctor’s note…

    From NME:

Following an incident during Oasis‘ performance at the Virgin Festival in Toronto, when Noel was attacked by a stage invader Oasis are regrettably being forced to announce that tonight’s show in London, Ontario cannot go ahead as planned.

Noel fell heavily on to his monitor speakers when he was pushed suddenly from behind by his attacker and suffered bruising to his ribs and hip. He was examined in a local hospital after the band’s performance and has been advised to rest. Unfortunately, despite resting up yesterday, the extent of his injuries mean he will not be able to perform tonight. The band are very keen to complete their Canadian tour and options for rescheduling the final London, Ontario show are currently being looked into. Ticket holders are asked to retain their tickets until a further announcement is made in a few days.

  • Oasis Blows, and Canada Finally Told Them So

Oasis has sucked balls since whatever album Champange Supernova was on was released.  Sure, we all get drunk at parties, pick up a guitar and sing Wonderwall, but thats besides the point.

Well, it turns out that Canadians, the most violent people in the world, desided to tell them to fuck off.  Some solo flying Canuk bum-rushed the stage whilst the band was playing Toronto’s Virgin Festival, and knocked Noel Gallagher strait on his ass.  He would have got to Liam too if security didn’t beat him into a mushy pulp.

Reminder: this is coming from a band that has claimed they’re bigger than The Beatles, talks shit on every other band imaginable and consistently bicker at the state of the music scene.

  • Dig Out Your Pockets

England “rock” band, Oasis, is in the works of dropping a new FULLY PRICED album, Dig Out Your Soul. Emphasis on the FULLY PRICED part. The band is making it their sole responsibility that no songs leak out on the net for free and that fans are paying for their tracks. Gallagher is attempting to make his money back for all his hard work and dedication to his craft.  He comments on the “honest-box” policy that Radiohead used to sell albums as, “a great way of getting a load of free marketing.”  He further states,

”That’s not our bag. I didn’t spend a year in the most expensive studio in England, with the most expensive producer in America and the most expensive graphic designer in London, to then give it away. F*** that.”

Personally, I wouldn’t even waste my energy and computer’s memory even attempting to download their new album. The only way I would listen to it is if I was being paid to.  Sounds like they are all in it for the money. Isn’t that what art is all about? Making as much cash from as many suckers as you can. Oasis hasn’t come out with some cool shit since I was in the 4th grade, and at that age, I am sure I was just too naive to know better.
