I could be writing about the bomb that blew up the Indian Embassy, or the amount of Americans killed in Iraq last week, but WHAT A BUMMER MAN! I know you’d all rather hear about the Lovely and Talented Nicole Kidman and her Lovely and Talented baby girl, Sunday Rose.

Sunday Rose? Really? Actually, it’s not terrible for a celebrity baby name. It’s no Dweezil though.

Oscar-winning actress Nicole Kidman has given birth to a baby girl called Sunday Rose in Nashville and both are doing well, her spokeman has said.
He said the couple were “delighted” to announce the birth, and that the baby weighed 6lb 7.5oz.
“Keith [Urban] was by Nicole’s side and mother and baby are very well,” he added.
It is the first child the actress has given birth to. She has two adopted children, Connor and Isabella, with former husband actor Tom Cruise.

Former Saturday Night Live cast member Cheri Oteri’s father was murdered by his roommate Richard Fagan on, chillingly, Saturday night. Gataeno Thomas “Tom” Oteri was a Nashville music producer that had collaborated with Fagan on several songs. Fagan was pulled over for DUI shortly after the murder. He told the police he and Oteri had gotten in an argument and he had slashed Oteri across the chest with a pocket knife before leaving the scene. Tom Oteri died at 69 due to a wrist laceration. Both men were drunk at the time of the fight. Synthesis’ condolences go out to Cheri Oteri.

Hearing all this BS about a Roger Clemens / Mindy McCready tryst amidst his defamation of character suit against former trainer McNamee, I realized that I have never sat down and watched a baseball game in a decade, and that I have never listened to one of Mindy McCready’s songs. So here’s to rectifying the latter.

Yeah… It’s fair to say that I like Nashville’s Pop Radio sensations as much as I like watching baseball. That is, this much:
