I love virtually everything Beck has ever done. But my not-so-secret hope is that someday he will release another lo-fi gem like Mellow Gold. With that said, here’s the video for “Pay No Mind (Snoozer).” Makes me feel funny, like climbing the rope in gym class.

Now I can go on about how I liked McLusky but this is way more intricate, jagged and ultimately more interesting AND rocking, but again, I just recommend you give it a listen. If you like bands like Fugazi, Jawbox and Dismemberment Plan, you will thank me. If you like lo-fi post-punk recordings, you will thank me. If you like getting your socks knocked off by UK bands, you will thank me.
