Lamb of God ‘In Studio’ Cameras Go Live

There’s no doubt about it; Synthesis fucking loves Lamb of God. Currently, The only disk in my bathroom CD player is Sacrament, and the only disk I’ve listened to in my car for the last 3 weeks is Killadelphia. These dudes are one of the biggest/most important band on the current metal scene (and that’s including Metallica).

Following a recent trend of in studio camera work by bands like Saosin and Underoath, the quintet have recently turned on the red lights and started streaming the studio 24 hrs a day. Two cams have been setup (mixing and live room) to let voyeurs in on watching Chris Adler track his drums for the upcoming February, 2009 release.

Drummer Chris Adler will be heading into a NYC studio today to begin recording for the band’s upcoming album, slated for a February 2009 release on Epic Records. There will be 2 live streaming web cams in the studio documenting every moment of the process on Lamb of God’s Kyte channel at www.lamb-of-god.com.

One camera will be in the live room, filming everything drums, and the other camera will be in the mix room, where producer Josh Wilbur will be dialing in the signature, brutal LAMB OF GODsound!

“I’m showing up to kick ass and chew bubblegum, and I’m all out of bubblegum,” said Adler.

The as-yet-untitled album will see a February 2009 North American release on Epic Records withRoadrunner Records handling all NON North American releases. Following production, LAMB OF GOD will head out on an extensive world tour commencing with their support slot in December with Metallica.

Check out www.lamb-of-god.com all day, every day during the drum recording process and watch the foundation of the new LAMB OF GOD album being built.

  • Listening to their musical brutality you’d think Hatebreed would sooner smash your face in than have a pleasant conversation with you. Not so. When Synthesis met up with singer Jamey Jasta, he was cuddly as a kitten. Okay, that may be an overstatement, but our camera operator/designer sure had to restrain herself from petting him. Check out the footage (below) RIGHT AFTER peeping Synthesis interview (right here).

For those who missed their summer tour, do not fret yerself. Their live DVD, Live Dominance, will be floor-punching streets in September:

HARDCORE METAL PIONEERS HATEBREED SET TO RELEASE LIVE DOMINANCE — THE GROUP’S FIRST-EVER LIVE DVD
TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 2, 2008 ON KOCH RECORDS

Hardcore Metal heavyweights HATEBREED have announced a September 2, 2008 release date for their first-ever DVD, Live Dominance. The DVD will include the band’s entire 80 minute show shot in front of a crazed, sold-out crowd at Harpo’s in Detroit on the Supermacy tour, plus additional live concert footage shot all over the globe in such cities as Philadelphia, New-Haven, New York and more.

Live Dominance will include over 2 hours of live footage. In addition, the DVD is set to include a ton of bonus features shot specifically for the release including brand-new band interviews, concept videos, fan testimonials, and much much more.

  • Lamb of God have to be one of the best live metal bands I’ve seen. There’s nothing like Redneck or Black Label being blasted from 5 sweaty dudes as strobe lights cast their shadows on the violent souls of the circle pit.

Headbanger’s Ball, that show that was once the coolest program on TV, is releasing clips from Lamb of God’s new DVD set via their blogsite. The double disk, Walk With Me in Hell, follows the band around as they tour in support of Sacrament. The 2nd disk captures the making of Sacrament as well as the entire 2007 Download Festival performance to a crowd of 72,000 people.

Although Headbanger’s Ball kinda has the rights to the stream, due to the fact that the show sucks way more than it did back in the old days, I give you Synthesis Presents: Lamb of God.

  • Lamb of God

So I was waiting around on the Lamb of God tour bus for my partner in crime Aaron to get the video camera, I decided to do a short little interview with John (bass). More photos, videos and interviews to come… and in case you were wondering, yes, I was attempting to actually out-talk my interviewee.
