Showbeast + Fortress of Attitude

This weekend I got a chance to join Los Angeles-based comedy group/saviors of rock Fortress of Attitude for a few shows. They were down a bassist and I was glad to fill in. I even had a snazzy gay sailor outfit to match their particular stage-dress idiom.

On Friday we made our way to Oakland, CA, and ended up performing in a warehouse art space called the Ghost House. We performed with several Oakland bands (Kool Teen, Pinched Nerve and Anderson Congress) in the space the house uses to create children’s videos.

The series is called Showbeast, and it’s the kind of kids show you’d probably think twice about showing your kids. Enjoy.

The brain hat is what we used to collect the money. FYI, people like to give you money when you use a brain hat.

Patrick Swayze - star of screen gems such as Dirty Dancing, Ghost and Donnie Darko - has apparently received news that he has only five weeks left to live. The actor was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer earlier this year and has since been seeking treatment at Stanford University’s cancer center for chemotherapy treatment, which has not sated the spreading of his condition.

While the report is unconfirmed (which most of the time means that it’s undeniably true), it went on to state that “sufferers of pancreatic cancer typically have a survival rate of less than five per cent, but if the cancer has spread to Swayze’s other vital organs he has an even lower chance of beating the disease.”

Sadness ensues… Nobody puts Baby in the corner.

Hmmm…nothing on google trends today except people from Google who I don’t care about getting married, , a Chilean 7.7 earth quake and shit on the Huffington Post. Wait, magic number 9: “Gas Station Ghost.” A gas station security camera in bumfuck Ohio caught this blurry, blue image randomly floating around. Some say the gs station was [cue spooky echo voice] built on an Indian burial ground…. See for yourself:

Ghost? Alien? Angel? Demon? Asian Reporter Tricia Takanawa? Good advertising for a random Ohio gas station? Who knows what the real answer is?
