Michael Moore will be releasing his new film online and for FREE! Who doesn’t love free stuff? Besides people who don’t take swag bags but that’s another story.
The film titled, “Slacker Uprising,” follows Moore through 62 different cities during the 2004 election in his attempts to rally young voters. Downloading will begin September 23 and will last for three weeks. Moore wants to give back to his fans for the 20th anniversary since his first film, “Roger & Me.”
“I thought it’d be a nice way to celebrate my 20th year of doing this,” Moore said. “And also help get out the vote for November. I’ve been thinking about what I want to do to help with the election this year.”
Moore said the film cost about $2 million to make and he will end up paying about $1 million out of pocket. To download for free, sign up at the Slacker Uprising Web site. A “Night of a Thousand House Parties” is planned for October 4th so neighborhood screenings, etc. can be planned. The DVD will still be released on October 7th.
Moore hopes the film will encourage more young people to vote this November so there are an even greater number of “slackers” at the poles.

The wait is over and I’m excited because they’re killin it. I guess the boys get together every Thanksgiving and an album has come out of it for the past three years. You’ve probably heard of Murs, and 9th has an amazing style - check out the last two volumes by the duo and see for yourself. Murs and 9th Wonder have brought their lyrical skills together in a collaboration titled Sweet Lord. This will be the third volume from Murs and 9th and the first released track intro is making me wait in anticipation. You can listen to the track intro here!
The whole album will be available next week! I’ll hit you back with more updates because I heard you will be able to download it FOR FREE! You can also make donations to the artists. Next in line: Murs For President dropping September 30th. Keep hustlin!
