As Video Matt cleans out his drawers and closets he’s coming up with all sorts of badass old footage: Fall Out Boy live at Warped Tour, Vaux, Dropkick Murphys, etc. My favorite so far of course, is the above vid of Surrogate playing “The Fence” live at Chico State’s BMU Auditorium. I wonder why that is….

This clip is from Pete Wentz’ new MTV Show, FNM. One of their casting directors really blew it, as they decided to have some big Jonas Brothers thing on the same night as they premiered Slipknot’s new video, Psychosocial. At about 7:49 in the clip, you can see the most priceless reaction ever from 3 girls that are scared shit less.

Remember the other day when Chico homie Justin Richards from Brighten was on TRL accompanying one-man electro-pop outfit A Rocket To the Moon? Well if you don’t check out the video above (BAHLETED by stupid YouTube). You’ll see why, at last night’s CD release show for fellow emos (and J-Rich jockers) The Maine, Fall Out Boy frontman and founder of Decaydance records announced that he was signing ARTM to his label. Add that to the fact that The Maine’s debut CD cracked the Top 40 on this week’s Billboard charts, scanning over 12,000 copies, and it becomes apparent that bands who jock Brighten’s sound are coming up big. It makes one wonder, when is Brighten gonna get laced up with a new deal of their own??? Guess we’ll see…

Though Fall Out Boy chairman and overall winnar of the music world Pete Wentz’s penis has been widely seen on the internetz, there was as of yet no HARD evidence that his use of anti-anxiety pills hadn’t made his rock as soft as his band’s. Now however, comes the announcement that Pete Wentz has won his very own fuck trophy with his new wife Ashlee Simpson:
"While many have speculated about this, we wanted to wait until after the first trimester to officially confirm that we are expecting our first child. This is truly the most joyous time in our lives and we are excited to share the happy news and start our family." - Pete and Ashlee Wentz
All jokes aside, congrats to the new couple on their pre-baby.

Rumors have been circling for a while, but now the truth has been confirmed and fifteen-year-old, emo-core, teenyboppers everywhere will be slitting their wrists today.
As reported on friendsorenemies.com:
“We know there has been a lot of speculation recently about Pete and I and we wanted our fans to be the first to know, because you guys are the best. Yes, we are thrilled to share that we are happily engaged. Thank you for all of your support and well wishes - it means the world to us. We consider this to be a very private matter, but we wanted you to hear it straight from us.”
- Ashlee and Pete
It’s a little said that cute little Simpson sister is off the market, but to be honest I lost interest after the nose job. As usual there is some speculation that Simpson is preggers, so be on the lookout for that fall out boy baby bump.

Ahh publicity stunts. This one kind of comes as a shocker, considering these guys are pretty much on the top of their commercial gain to begin with.
Our favorite trend setters Fall Out Boy are making an attempt to break the most worthless world record ever; playing a show in all 7 continents in a span of under 9 months. The big question on everyone’s mind is, of course, how well the Antarctica show is going to do. Do polar bears rock swooped bangs and scene jeans? I digress…
From their website:
Fall Out Boy To Play Antarctica/March 23 Venue Change
Fall Out Boy will be attempting to set a Guinness World Record for the first band to play all seven continents in a time frame under nine months. The band kicked off the record in Johannesburg, South Africa late last summer, then toured through Europe, Asia, Australia and North America last fall. The South American show will take place in Santiago Chile on March 23, followed up by King George Island in Antarctica on March 25, where they hope to receive the Guinness World Record. In addition to setting a world record, the band will be working closely with Greenpeace for the concert in Antarctica to raise awareness about global warming.
