Our friends Emery have released the first single from their forthcoming full length In Shallow Seas We Sail on iTunes today, but you can also check out a stream of it on YouTube above. The album itself will hit stores June 2nd, and will probably be fucking badass.

Make the joke something somewhat surprising, but not entirely unbelievable. Relay via a one way medium, leaving no room for follow-up questions, only room for rampant speculation on the part of those unaware or unsure whether or not it is in fact a joke. It, of course, helps if you have at your disposal an actor of such Shakespearean gravity as Toby Morrell. It also, of course, helps if the people you’re fooling are for the most part complete morons. But hey, even I’m not entirely 100% sure they’re not serious. And that’s the genius of it all. Hats off gentlemen.

When I was asked to work for 12 days all over Australia prefaced with four days in Hawaii I figured I should do it.  In the past three days I’ve experienced things I never thought I would.  Australia isn’t really that neat of a country, it’s not old or historic, it kind of feels like  Canada without french people and great weather. Drummer for Emery, notorious substance abuser, and one of my favorite people in the world, Dave Powell, recently realized he lives in Indianapolis, where it’s too butt ass cold to do anything but sit inside and make silly videos talking about his band’s upcoming full length and international touring schedule. So he did and here it is.
