Hip-hop electro Hollywood duo LMFAO are causing some issues on YouTube. LMFAO is made up of Redfoo and Sky Blu. These boys love the ladies, partying all day and clubbing all night. Their video was banned from YouTube but you can watch it here! Guess the naked twister was a little too much?

Today, Synthesis’ Band You’ve Never Heard of Band of the Day will stray a little bit into the electro side of the rock spectrum. And by “a little bit” I mean entirely. Boston electro-rock duo Matters & Dunaway meet at the mid-point where pleather-clad ravers chat Matrix post-apocalyptic fashion and The Faint still mattered. Their is the sound of a not to distant future that was realized in the last decade, with neon-lit tubes blurring by at chemically enhanced speeds. Their new EP, Feel The Future, is available now via iTunes and Amazon.

Matters and Dunaway - Feel The Future
Streetdate May 20, 2008Matters & Dunaway were last heard in late 2004 fusing ambient electronic with intricate rock rhythms straddling a line between melancholy and euphoria. Since that time, the duo from Boston, MA have been honing their unique blend of tech-rock into a more compressed, aggressive sound. Feel the Future is saturated with bursting cymbals, darting bass lines and revving synthesizers.

As you may remember from my Pulitzer-worthy piece of journalism from a late-night SXSW 08 encounter, James from Does it Offend You, Yeah? is way cool in my book. His band’s music ain’t none too bad, too. (See, Pulitzer-worthy blog writer over here. Vernacular my boy, vernacular.) Their US/British Columbia tour kicks off with a performance at Coachella, and if you live near one of their tour stops I suggest you not sleep on it.
“In anticipation their album will be available digitally Tuesday April 1st and in the best retail stores on April 15th. Just so you know the UK version is out today. It has a different cover but the same great music. OK?”
