Let’s step out of the usual bitching about the economy and whatever Sarah Palin porn movie is coming out and talk about some fuckin rock n roll. Post hardcore bad-asses Thrice are at it again, this time releasing a DVD from a show at the House of Blues. Here’s the short blurb from Wikipedia;
Thrice recently wrapped up their Spring 2008 tour with Circa Survive and Pelican.[33] The May 28, 2008 show at the House of Blues in Anaheim was filmed for a live CD/DVD titled Live at the House of Blues. The live album spans 2 CDs and a DVD with live footage and an exclusive interview in which the band answers fan-submitted questions.[34] In Fall 2008, they embarked on a Rise Against tour, alongside Alkaline Trio.

Michael Moore will be releasing his new film online and for FREE! Who doesn’t love free stuff? Besides people who don’t take swag bags but that’s another story.
The film titled, “Slacker Uprising,” follows Moore through 62 different cities during the 2004 election in his attempts to rally young voters. Downloading will begin September 23 and will last for three weeks. Moore wants to give back to his fans for the 20th anniversary since his first film, “Roger & Me.”
“I thought it’d be a nice way to celebrate my 20th year of doing this,” Moore said. “And also help get out the vote for November. I’ve been thinking about what I want to do to help with the election this year.”
Moore said the film cost about $2 million to make and he will end up paying about $1 million out of pocket. To download for free, sign up at the Slacker Uprising Web site. A “Night of a Thousand House Parties” is planned for October 4th so neighborhood screenings, etc. can be planned. The DVD will still be released on October 7th.
Moore hopes the film will encourage more young people to vote this November so there are an even greater number of “slackers” at the poles.

Lamb of God have to be one of the best live metal bands I’ve seen. There’s nothing like Redneck or Black Label being blasted from 5 sweaty dudes as strobe lights cast their shadows on the violent souls of the circle pit.
Headbanger’s Ball, that show that was once the coolest program on TV, is releasing clips from Lamb of God’s new DVD set via their blogsite. The double disk, Walk With Me in Hell, follows the band around as they tour in support of Sacrament. The 2nd disk captures the making of Sacrament as well as the entire 2007 Download Festival performance to a crowd of 72,000 people.
Although Headbanger’s Ball kinda has the rights to the stream, due to the fact that the show sucks way more than it did back in the old days, I give you Synthesis Presents: Lamb of God.

Snoop Dogg teamed up with Blackplanet to premiere his new anime movie yesterday.. so CHECK IT! Snoop Dogg presents The Adventures Of Tha Blue Carpet Treatment. The Doggfather takes a journey through the Southern California streets where he meets some interesting people; everything from crazy street people to running into some comedic situations. The straight to DVD film has a TON of awesome features like appearances from my personal favorite Katt Williams. Other animated videos include hip-hop icons like E-40, Nate Dogg, The Game and B-Real of Cypress Hill.
It’s a psychedelic trip through Snoop’s magical mind. Soundtrack music includes songs from hip-hop legends and his multi-platinum album Tha Blue Carpet Treatment. Who would be better to go through the streets of Long Beach and grub out with besides the big Snoop D-O-double G?
