Jacob the Jeweler is well known for getting big name celebrities iced out. He sells custom, high-priced jewels and is mentioned in plenty of hip-hop songs. Jacob Arabov was given federal charges back in June of 2006. He violated federal drug laws by laundering $270 million! The indictment was linked to a drug organization titled the Black Mafia Family and involved Arabov along with 23 others. He will have to forfeit at least 30 pieces of jewelry, cars and residences.

It is now two years later and the 43-year-old Jacob Arabov pleaded guilty to lying to the Feds and making changes in his legal documents. The drug ring was transferring through multiple states and Arabov continued to lie about the information he knew or was involved with. This means prison time fo him! Hopefully he isn’t someones boyyyfriend.

The king of bling is sentenced to two and a half years in federal penitentiary. Who will ice out Diddy now?

Taking advertising to a whole new level: Rolling Rock is putting their logo on the freakin’ moon. Haha, can you imagine if this takes off (no pun intended)? Next thing you know, Diddy will be all up on that shit.

Check the Rolling Rock site for a countdown and keep your eye on the sky. Oh, I think I’m supposed to say you must be 21 or older to click that link. If you’re only 20, don’t you DARE go to that site. You’ll be arrested and confined in a 4-person jail cell until you’re of age.

The LA Times published a piece on Tupac’s death today entitled Blood Feud: An attack on Tupac Shakur launched a hip-hop war. It’s a deep piece that throws a lot out there:

Now, newly discovered information, including interviews with people who were at the studio that night, lends credence to Shakur’s insistence that associates of rap impresario Sean “Diddy” Combs were behind the assault. Their alleged motives: to punish Shakur for disrespecting them and rejecting their business overtures and, not incidentally, to curry favor with Combs.

The information focuses on two New York hip-hop figures — talent manager James “Jimmy Henchman” Rosemond and promoter James Sabatino, who is now in prison for unrelated crimes.

FBI records obtained recently by The Times say that a confidential informant told authorities in 2002 that Rosemond and Sabatino “set up the rapper Tupac Shakur to get shot at Quad Studios.” The informant said Sabatino had told him that Shakur “had to be dealt with.”

Puffy’s response:

“This story is beyond ridiculous and is completely false.Neither Biggie nor I had any knowledge of any attack before, during, or after it happened. It is a complete lie to suggest that there was any involvement by Biggie or myself. I am shocked that the Los Angeles Times would be so irresponsible as to publish such a baseless and completely untrue story.”

Damn.

  • Making the Band 4 Season 2 Trailer

I’m so pissed I don’t have cable anymore, you have no idea.

The second season of Making the Band 4 begins Monday, January 28th (there was a preview this past Saturday), and features Donnie Klang, the five dudes who won last time and, of course, OG Making the Band pioneers Danity Kane. I’m not sure what’s going on in this trailer, but it looks like a lot of premarital sex, macho posturing and self-loathing masked by binge drinking. I guess they’re all supposed to be making an album too. Together! But not together. Just at the same time, which sounds more like Diddy trying to save a buck than anything else.

I’m sure it’ll be as epic as the trailer’s background music. My only hope is that Aundrea manages to escape the whole affair unscathed.

    Aundrea Fimbres

You’d be in my prayers, if I did that sort of thing. After the jump is a list of dates when you can catch the show. Danity Kane’s new album is due out March 18th. The Making the Band album will come out one week prior. (more…)
