Too Good To Last…
Before I stumbled upon a repost of Sean Penn’s endorsement from last year (below), I had just been reflecting on candidate Dennis Kucinich. Listening to NPR’s coverage of the Iowa caucus I remembered my thoughts of four years back: I want Kucinich to be my candidate, but he seemingly doesn’t stand a chance against his Democratic rivals. He may be a bit too much of a peacenick for me, but he’s on point on national, social issues. But Penn has a point. Here’s what’s on his mind:

(Funny enough, a google search for Kucinich revealed a photo at the top of the page…of Senator Obama. Uphill battle, anyone?)

According to the always completely rational Shirley MacLaine, in her new book Sage-Ing While Age-Ing, Presidential candidate and Ohio congressman Dennis Kucinich had a close encounter with a UFO while visiting her at her Washington home.

Kucinich, she writes on page143-144 of the book, “had a close sighting over my home in Graham, Washington, when I lived there. Dennis found his encounter extremely moving. The smell of roses drew him out to my balcony where, when he looked up, he saw a gigantic triangular craft, silent, and observing him. It hovered, soundless, for ten minutes or so, and sped away with a speed he couldn’t comprehend. He said he felt a connection in his heart and heard directions in his mind.”

    Beat that Barack Obama!
