I don’t know if this will be a regular thing, but figured someone out there could use 20 minutes of ‘bus ride music’.
Actor Christian Bale, star of the recent Batman franchise, was detained in London today after a reported altercation with his mother and sister. He has been released on bail. Reportedly this had something to do with a longstanding family dispute. Dain thinks Bale’s mom wouldn’t let him sleep in his bat cape.
This morning, my first IM-ed link o’ the day came from one of my favorite co-workers, that Synthesis Radio guy. Dain is goofy, smart as EFF with computers, and the quickest pervy-jokester in the West. He’s also seen a lot of different “looks” throughout the years. We call this one, the Chris Crocker look:
So there’s this bum hangout right around the corner from the Synthesis office. It’s like this shelter for young adults who want to sit around all day smoking cigarettes and hanging on the couch in the air conditioning with their pit bull mix instead of, well, anything else. Today on my way to get coffee, Dain and I walked by this young derelict who asks, almost as an afterthought, if he could bum a cigarette. It might have been a cold move, but this was my response:
I think singing one bar of the The Silhouettes’ “Get a Job” got my point across.
