In what is sure to be a contriversal move, actor Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man) will be playing a black man in his latest film. The movie is comedy based, which may give him a free pass from total backlash. Also in the film is a near albino Jack Black and Ben (I’m in 1,048 comdeys) stiller. Downy realizing that this roll might get his ass kicked while driving around Los Angeles said this,

“Downey Jr told a US magazine: “If it’s done right, it could be the type of role you called Peter Sellers to do 35 years ago. If you don’t do it right, we’re going to hell.”

I remember a few years ago watching a video compilation of comedy show pilots that never made it to production. Most were justifiably unwatchable, but there were a few spots that got my brain spinning, one of which was Yucko The Clown.

Everyone loves a clown, right!? No? Some people are freaked the fuck out by them? Well, Yucko understands this all too well. It’s like Tony Clifton in grease paint and high on angel dust, and it may just be be the path to enlightenment.

I wonder if comedians ever tire of being referred to as “funnyman?” Also, do women entertainers ever tire of being introduced as “the lovely and talented?” These are the kinds of questions that haunt my day. I have a very easy life. Here’s some Daniel Tosh.
