Actor Christian Bale, star of the recent Batman franchise, was detained in London today after a reported altercation with his mother and sister. He has been released on bail. Reportedly this had something to do with a longstanding family dispute. Dain thinks Bale’s mom wouldn’t let him sleep in his bat cape.

From The Telegraph:

Sources said that Bale was accused of lashing out at his family members - pushing one of them - in an argument over a long-running family dispute.

Bale was arrested when he attended Belgravia police station in London today after his mother and sister had reported him to police.

He left the back of the station in a blacked out silver Mercedes people carrier and sped past the awaiting paparazzi and heavy security.

Bale gave a statement to detectives of his version of events in what was described by police sources as an allegation of a “minor” common assault.

The 34-year-old was bailed until September and will be allowed to fly back to his home in America.

  • Terminator 4

Just watched the new teaser trailer for Terminator 4 and it definitely looks more promising than Terminator 3 but that’s not saying much. At least Arnold is out and Christian Bale is in. Time for a change?

A date for summer 2009 has already been set for the fourth Terminator movie, the clumsily titled Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins. The film is slated to have sorta-douchey Charlie’s Angels series director McG at the helm and will star Christian Bale in the role of John Connor, humanity’s last hope against a horde of robots. The film will open May 22nd, 2009. I know. The anticipation…

  • The Dark Knight Trailer

Last week, when I Am Legend opened, some dude filmed the full trailer for the upcoming Batman sequel The Dark Knight on his cellphone camera. I didn’t bother checking it out, because it was a movie trailer captured on a cellphone camera. But I saw I Am Legend on Monday, and that shit was good. Almost as good as the trailer for The Dark Knight. If you’re one of the four people who haven’t seen I Am Legend yet, a much better (though not great) quality version of the The Dark Knight trailer is embedded above. The film will open Summer 2008 and stars Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne/Batman and Heath Ledger as the Joker (looking pretty damn creepy I might add). 2008 = year of the fanboy.
