Grape Soda Up In The White House

K-Fed has not done it again. I’m not exactly sure what he’s done, but here it is:

Dubbed a “hilariously racial” song, I’m guessing by K-Fed himself. But you have two black children with Shar Jackson…

Britney’s New Album

So we just realized we got a copy of Britney Spears’ new album, Circus, which apparently dropped today. It’s so weird to think that this is the same chick who sang that song ‘Sometimes’ back in the day… you know the one… with the white shirt and the jiggling and whatnot. Anyways, the disk isn’t that bad, considering the source. Most impressive of all is that she managed to co-write 3 songs on the record (I’m still not sure if I’m being sarcastic about that statement or not).
I’m sure all you crazy kids in the dance clubs and raves will be digging it.

Danja and Bloodshy & Avant, who produced several tracks from Blackout, both announced independently that they were recording with Spears again.[15] Vocal producer Jim Beanz told Us Weekly that he had also been in the studio with Spears.[16] He said of Spears: “Everyone has personal stuff, but a true professional doesn’t bring it into the studio.”[17] Spears collaborated much on the album, saying, “The process was cool, because I got to write a lot of the songs, and in the beginning, I really took part in that. … I experimented with a lot of the pop producers that I worked with on my earliest albums.”[18]

In her interview with OK! magazine, Spears revealed that she was working with Harvey Mason of The Underdogs.[19] Spears commented, “I wanted to experiment with producers I haven’t worked with much before, like the Underdogs, who have a Timbaland kind of sound.”[12] According to the Los Angeles Times, Guy Sigsworth - who previously produced the singles “Everytime” and “Someday (I Will Understand)” - spent time in the studio with Spears.[20] Max Martin, who wrote Spears’s first hit, “…Baby One More Time”, has produced, what he calls, his “best work ever”.[21] Dr. Luke (who actually often collaborates with Martin) has produced songs for the album, including the title track,[22] with up-and-comer Benny Blanco.[23] Nicole Morier, who co-wrote Blackout’s “Heaven on Earth”, wrote several songs with Britney in spring 2008; “Mmm Papi” and the European & Deluxe Edition bonus track “Rock Me In” came out of these sessions. Another notable collaborator is The Outsyders, an Atlanta-based production team, who produced the album’s first single.[22]

  • Britney is… Hot?!

Ahh, the never ending cycle that is Britney Spears. Think about her career for a second: she started off as a smoking hot piece of jailbait, turned 18 and stayed sexy for a while, the started to get fat and next thing we know she’s bald. Well, the little diva is apparently a tenacious one, and recently shot a video for her new single, ‘Womanizer’. She looks great, and maybe she’s back on the right path… or maybe she’ll slip up and start smoking crack. Who knows. Check the vid.

  • Okay, so I can try and pretend that I’m about half as hung over as I am right now and write a brilliant, brief description of A Static lullaby’s music and why you should care about their cover of Britney Spears’ “Toxic” and that they’re on tour with Dance Gavin Dance. But I’m not. I am just too far gone today. Instead I’ve chosen to quote the press release HEAVILY>

    From the press release:

The fourth album from A Static Lullaby, “Rattlesnake!” is available for pre order today through Interpunk, Smartpunk, and Merchnow.

A Static Lullaby goes head to head with Britney Spears on the band’s not so bubblegum-pop cover of her hit song, “Toxic”. After the popularity of their cover of Frou Frou’s “Let Go”, A Static Lullaby went back into the studio to give fans an addicting new bonus track. Everyone who pre orders the album before its street date will receive this Britney Spears cover of “Toxic” from A Static Lullaby as an MP3 download the same day.

If you can’t wait until September 9th for the CD, you can listen to the “Rattlesnake!” sampler, now playing on their Myspace page. The sampler plays clips from every track off their upcoming album.

See? That wasn’t’ so tough. More press release and tour dates after the jump.

  • This is the worst idea I’ve ever heard. Paris Hilton is hoping to team with other tabloid and paparazzi loved ladies, especially Britney Spears and Lindsay Lohan. She wants to produce a reality television show so the public can see what life is like in the spotlight. Does anyone really care to watch all these trainwrecks at once? Hell no. Hilton also wants to produce a two-hour special.

“Just imagine Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, Tori Spelling — as well as [Denise] Richards, Hilton and her former ‘The Simple Life’ co-star, Nicole Richie — together in one big two-hour special sharing ‘their side’ of what it’s like to be them.
That concept alone reportedly has intrigued a couple of cable channels initially contacted about the concept: Bravo and Lifetime.”

Bad, bad idea. Hilton has to lure them back to the spotlight right after they finally clean it up. This is going to be a crotch-shot mess.

    Anthony Kiedis Going Green?

After reading the Anthony Kiedis biography Scar Tissue of his crazy, insane and badass life I found this picture kind of amusing. And no one is freaking out about car seat safety like with Britney Spears? Ha.
