On Saturday, July 12th, Bon Jovi is going to burn, burn, burn in New York City, for free. It’s supposed to serve as a prelude to the MLB All Star game on July 15th; the final All Star game at Yankee Stadium ever. That pretty much sums it up. I don’t know who would still be into going to watch Bon Jovi, but I guess if it’s free and in a setting as beautiful as Olmsted’s Central Park, you can’t really go wrong. All you New Yorkers: Enjoy Bon Jovi for free; we’ll just keep huffing wildfire smoke and drinking heavily at all times to stifle this hellish void.

Okay, kudos to Sneak Attack Media on the email pitch I received the other day. I have NO idea what it’s for, and if it sucks that PR company will be the recipient of a manila envelope with headshot and glitter stars, ala Tobias Funke. But here goes:

Okay, I’ll bite. I’m guessing it’s the announcement of some supposed badass supergroup, or maybe a rock reunion of some sort. I’m hoping dyed long hair and piles cocaine will be involved, though. Sneak Attack Media, your move…

I never was really into Bon Jovi. I mean, I’ll get drunk and slur the words to ‘Livin On A Prayer’ like the rest of us, but thats about it. At least they have Richie Sambora, who could lay down some some badass talkbox parts.

Oh, speaking of Sambora, it appears that his two former stints in rehab didn’t work so well. On Tuesday, he was arrested on a DUI charge in Laguna, CA. In addition to himself, his girlfriend, daughter and daughter’s friend were in his Hummer with him. Because of the two minors in the car, he also faces possible child endangerment charges. Poilice said that he was very cooperative.

In the last year, Sambora had entered rehab, finalized a divorce with Heather Locklear, broke up with Denise Richards and his father died of lung cancer. Damn. With all that on his back, I understand a lil boozing, but certainly not while driving. Sambora goes to court May 7th .
