Metallica Still Hates The Internet

Metallica is notorious for having issues with the internet when they were successful in ending Napster. Metallica recently invited music journalists and bloggers to a private listening party of their new album. There were no disclosure agreements signed or even spoken of. The event was reported on a number of different blogs and the new tracks were discussed.

Metallica got angry and sent notices to all the blogs to take down the posts regarding the band or legal action would be taken. Bad idea to piss off bloggers who have a loud voice on the internet.

While you were looking up Tilda Swinton’s purported love affair with young artist Sandro Kopp…other people were looking up Bill Clinton’s purported love affair with young actress Gina Gershon.

Great.

There’s a global food crisis that’s affecting hundreds of millions of humans.
Both Zimbabwe and Burma’s governments are not allowing international aid to their war- and natural disaster-ravaged populations.
General Motors is closing plants, and Americans (and Canadians and Mexicans) are losing their jobs.
Sri Lanka is embroiled in civil war and natural disasters.

But by all means continue looking up celebrity gossip.
