It seem Bristol Palin, daughter of Alaska governor Sarah Palin and her fiance Levi Johnston, the supposed paragon of committed, responsible parenting, have ended their relationship and called off their wedding after Palin reportedly called Johnston’s family “white trash” and barred him from taking their child, Tripp, to his family’s home. Luckily, as a single, unemployed, uneducated mother, whose baby daddy is also unemployed, she’ll be able to take advantage of many of the social benefits offered by our wonderful nation. 

Bristol Palin and fiancé Levi Johnston have broken up after she referred to his family as “white trash,” the hockey-playing  hunk’s sister dished to Star magazine.

Mercede Johnston says the 18-year-old daughter of Alaska’s Republican  governor dumped her brother, Levi, an out-of-work high school drop out.

 And she said Bristol Palin, who took her beau to the Republican National Convention in St. Paul, Minn., has made it tough for him to spend time with his 2-month-old son, Tripp.

“Levi tries to visit Tripp every single day, but Bristol makes it nearly impossible,” Mercede Johnston told Star Magazine.

“She [Bristol] tells him he can’t take the baby to our house because she doesn’t want him around ‘white trash’!” she said.

In unrelated but equally lulzy news involving Conservative icons’ family members pwning Conservative ideals with actual reality, Nancy Reagan recently sang the praises of Barack Obama for eliminating the federal restrictions of funding embyonic stem cell research:

“I’m very grateful that President Obama has lifted the restrictions on federal funding for embryonic stem cell research,” the former first lady said in a statement. “These new rule will now make it possible for scientists to move forward.”

“Countless people, suffering from many different diseases, stand to benefit from the answers stem cell research can provide,” said Reagan, who has long been at odds with other conservative Republicans over the stem cell issue.

Also, though it’s old news, its still worth noting that Dick Cheney’s daughter is gay. And has a son. Alas she is unmarried too, but only because the party her father champions won’t let her and her partner do so legally.

TL; DR - Even Republicans’ own family members can’t live up to their fantasy world of Evangelical Christian neo-Puritanism. 

Oh and I guess while I’m here I might as well throw in Newt Gingrich, possible Presidential candidate for 2012, who has recently admitted to having an extra-marital affair even while he was leading the charge to impeach President Clinton.

So it seems that on the heels of his painfully moronic CPAC speech, Rush Limbaugh is drawing the ire of even Republicans. And not just any Republicans, but the head of the Republican National Committee, Michael Steele, who on D.L. Hughley’s CNN talk show, characterized Limbaugh as nothing more than”an entertainer. Rush limbaugh, his whole thing is entertainment. Yes he is incendiary. Yes, it’s ugly.” Of course, Rush, the entertainer that he is, wasn’t gonna take that shit lying down:

Yes, said Michael Steele, the chairman of the Republican National Committee, I’m incendiary, and yes, it’s ugly. Michael Steele, you are head of the RNC. You are not head of the Republican Party. Tens of millions of conservatives and Republicans have nothing to do with the RNC and right now they want nothing to do with it, and when you call them, asking them for money, they hang up on you. I hope that changes. I hope the RNC will get its act together…

It seems to me that it’s Michael Steele who is off to a shaky start….

Now, Mr. Steele, if it is your position as the chairman of the Republican National Committee that you want a left wing Democrat president and a left wing Democrat Congress to succeed in advancing their agenda, if it’s your position that you want President Obama and Speaker Pelosi and Senate leader Harry Reid to succeed with their massive spending and taxing and nationalization plans, I think you have some explaining to do.

Why are you running the Republican Party? Why do you claim you lead the Republican Party when you seem obsessed with seeing to it that President Obama succeeds? I frankly am stunned that the chairman of the Republican National Committee endorses such an agenda…

I don’t understand why you’re asking Republicans to donate to the Republican National Committee if their money is going to be spent furthering the agenda of Barack Obama? If we don’t want Obama and Reid and Pelosi to fail, then why does the RNC exist, Mr. Steele? Why are you even raising money?…

I’m not in charge of the Republican Party, and I don’t want to be. I would be embarrassed to say that I’m in charge of the Republican Party in a sad-sack state that it’s in. If I were chairman of the Republican Party, given the state that it’s in, I would quit. I might get out the hari-kari knife…

When you send those fundraising requests out, Mr. Steele, make sure you say, we — we — we want Obama to succeed. So people understand your compassion. Republicans, conservatives are sick and tired of being talked down to, sick and tired of being lectured to. And until you show some understanding and respect for who they are, you’re going to have a tough time rebuilding your party.

After Barack Obama laid down the pwn in last night’s Presidential Address, the Republicans trotted out their “rising star” Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal to try to put a new face on their same old tired shit. Check out the clip above, from MSNBC’s live coverage of the speech last night, in which someone (most likely Chris Matthews) foreshadows this trip to economic fantasy-land, muttering off-camera “Oh God…” as Jindal enters the room. And it only got better after his speech (the text of which, as prepared, you can find here) with MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow’s reaction to Jindal’s speech.

… or at least the New York Post thinks so. The Post ran a political cartoon today depicting President Obama as a chimpanzee that had bullet holes in it’s chest.  The image immediately set off a panic with race groups and other people that aren’t fucking racist pricks.  I mean it’s one thing to make fun of the Jews, the Chinamen, or those damned Mexicans, but the Blacks?!  COME ON!

NEW YORK, Feb 19 (Reuters) - Hundreds of demonstrators rallied to boycott the New York Post on Thursday, branding the newspaper as racist for publishing a cartoon that appeared to compare President Barack Obama to a chimpanzee.

Demonstrators led by civil rights activist Al Sharpton chanted “End racism now!” outside the parent company’s skyscraper in midtown Manhattan and called for the jailing of Rupert Murdoch, whose international media conglomerate News Corp (NWSA.O) owns the Post.

The newspaper has defended the cartoon as a parody of Washington politics, but Sharpton said it exploited a potent image in the history of racism toward blacks.

Published on Wednesday, it shows police shooting an ape and plays on the real shooting of a pet chimpanzee that went on a rampage in Connecticut this week.

One of the police officers says, “They’ll have to find someone else to write the next stimulus bill.”

Because Obama promoted the $787 billion economic stimulus that he signed into law on Tuesday, critics of the cartoon interpreted the dead chimp as a reference to Obama, who became the first black U.S. president on Jan. 20.

“I guess they thought we were chimpanzees,” Sharpton said. “They will find out we are lions.”

Sharpton said he would meet with advertisers to encourage them to pull their ads and said New Yorkers would boycott the newspaper.

“You would have to be in a time warp or in a whole other world not to know what that means,” said demonstrator Charles Ashley, 25, a model who did not believe the cartoon was an innocent political joke.

Do you get the joke?!  It’s a monkey!  You know, because Black people are less evolved!!!   DID YOU LULZ??! I DID!!! RACISM, FUCK YEA!!!

BARACK OBAMA ON ABORTION

Barack Obama is undecided on whether life begins at conception and he would expand access to contraception. He is rated 100% by National Abortion Rights Action League on pro-choice votes in 2005, 2006 & 2007, and rated 0% by the National Right to Life.
He believes the Constitution is a living document and is opposed to strict constructionism, he thinks moral arguments from pro-lifers are counterproductive. He supports Roe v. Wade and will protect a “woman’s right to choose.”

God damn women, huh? Always wanting equality and all that jazz… trying to take control of their body? Not on my watch!

BARACK OBAMA ON AFFIRMATIVE ACTION

Barack Obama supports affirmative action in colleges and government and would re-introduce the Equal Rights Amendment. He is rated 100% by the NAACP.

Just like the women, those damn colored folk want to have equal rights. Can you believe them?!

BARACK OBAMA ON GAY RIGHTS

Barack Obama believes that being gay or lesbian is not a choice, and that decisions about marriage should be left to the states. He sees homosexuality as no more immoral than heterosexuality, and is OK with exposing 6-year-olds to gay couples. He views the gay rights movement somewhat like the civil rights movement. He supports health benefits for gay civil partners. He opposes gay marriage but supports civil union and gay equality. He would include sexual orientation in anti-discrimination laws. He is rated 89% by the HRC which indicates a pro-gay-rights stance.

Voted NO on constitutional ban of same-sex marriage. (Jun 2006)

Once more with that equality bullshit. It’s almost like he believes the gays are actually people.

BARACK OBAMA ON ENERGY & OIL

Barack Obama would raise fuel efficiency standards to 40 mpg to reduce long-term demand, and push to reduce carbon emissions by 80% by 2050. He believes in aggressively addressing accelerating climate change, and supports cap-and-trade on carbon emissions. He does not believe we can drill our way out of our “addiction” to oil. He wants 20% of our nation’s power supply from renewable sources by 2020.

What is he, some kind of hippy?! Like my hero Sarah Palin says: Drill Baby, Drill!

Looks like the US Senate has agreed to pass President Obama’s $780 billion Economic Stimulus Package. Now the question is, how can I get my hands on some of that cheddar NAHMEAN!?

Amid stunning new job losses and yet another bank failure, key senators and the White House reached tentative agreement Friday night on an economic stimulus measure at the heart of President Barack Obama’s recovery plan. Two officials said the emerging agreement was for a bill with a $780 billion price tag, but there was no immediate confirmation.The tentative agreement capped a tense day of back room negotiations in which Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, joined by White House chief of staff Rahm Emanuel, sought to attract the support of enough Republicans to give the measure the needed 60-vote majority. Reid met privately in the Capitol with members of his rank-and-file to present the proposed deal.

At $780 billion, the legislation would be smaller than the measure that cleared the House on a party-line vote last week. It also would mean a sharp cut from the bill that has been the subject of Senate debate for a week. That measure stood at $937 billion.

Beyond the numbers, though, any agreement would mark a victory for the new president and would keep Democratic leaders on track to fulfill their promise of delivering him a bill to sign by the end of next week.
