Is It True?!

After plenty of the Arrested Development cast members made the claim of a movie in the works, Jeffrey Tambor confirmed the rumor yesterday!

“After months of speculation, I think we have finally figured out for sure that we are indeed doing an Arrested Development movie,” Tambor told EW.com at the premiere of Hellboy II on Sunday. “I am very excited about that. I love that cast and crew and I felt like we had more to say.”

An Arrested Development movie? Could it be?!!

Space Shuttle Endeavor had a successful launch last night and is currently somewhere between earth and sky on its mission to the International Space Station.

On board is Barbara Morgan, the teacher who was the backup for Christa McAuliffe, who was lost with the rest of the Challenger crew in 1986.

The Endeavor hasn’t flown since before the tragic Columbia disaster in 2003. Their mission is to install a gyroscope on the space station so that it doesn’t have to use fuel to fire rockets to maneuver itself correctly (or something like that). There will be three space walks, the use of a robot arm, and all other sorts of rad things that you used to want to do when you were in 4th grade.

Now all I want to do is sit around and celebrate by watching videos of The Final Countdown over and over. This version in particular:

  • Wow, a concert for peace in the heart of Jerusalem, densely packed with thousands of young Israelis. That’s the equivalent of like, 1,000 buses, preschools and pizza parlors. What could possibly go wrong?

I’m just praying that these guys aren’t the opening act.
    opening act

Now, I may be a cynic, but this strikes me as a terrible, terrible idea. I mean, the Black Eyed Peas? They’re like the poster children for pop music at its most insipid and vomitous. Just thinking about their awful, soul-crushing music makes me want to punch myself in the face, over and over again. Oh, plus, you know, the hundreds upon hundreds of culturally and mentally ravaged suicide bombers waiting for a chance to murder Israeli civilians might make this concert a downer. Just sayin.
