This clip is from Pete Wentz’ new MTV Show, FNM. One of their casting directors really blew it, as they decided to have some big Jonas Brothers thing on the same night as they premiered Slipknot’s new video, Psychosocial. At about 7:49 in the clip, you can see the most priceless reaction ever from 3 girls that are scared shit less.

You would think they’d be down to save money on smoke machine fluid, but NOOOO, the big bad Rockstar Mayhem Tour’s stop in Sacramento tonight, has been POSTPONED, until Monday, July 14th:
Concerned for the health and safety of our patrons, performers and employees, Live Nation announces a date change for SACRAMENTO’s scheduled Rockstar Energy Mayhem festival at The Sleep Train Amphitheater. The air quality and temperature are expected to improve by end of weekend, allowing for the event to be moved to Monday, July 14th and show time will remain 1:30pm. Tickets purchased for Friday, July 11th will be honored.
As we enter the second week of wild fires, and the recent 100+ degree temperatures, it is in the best interest of all involved that the tour date be rescheduled as conditions are expected to improve over the weekend. A variety of city and county officials have urged area residents to avoid long-term exposure to the outdoors and limit outdoor recreational activities.
“We sincerely regret this unavoidable rescheduling and apologize to fans for any disappointment caused,” says tour co-founder John Reese. “And while we’re thankful that the show can take place on Monday, our thoughts are with the families in this area during this difficult time.”
The Rockstar Energy Mayhem Festival event features more than a dozen artists, including metal giants Disturbed and Slipknot, acrobatic freestyle motocross riders from The Metal Mulisha and a wide range of vendors and other lifestyle festivities.

The very first Rockstar Energy Mayhem Festival kicked off in Seattle yesterday. It’s put on by the same team that founded some other well-known music festivals like the Vans Warped Tour (AWESOME videos of 2008 Warped Tour here!) & Taste of Chaos Tour so it best be good.
In addition to Slipknot and Disturbed, the main stage features DRAGONFORCE and MASTODON, as well as a JÄGERMEISTER second stage with MACHINE HEAD, AIRBOURNE, FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH, WALLS OF JERICHO and the JÄGERMEISTER Battle of The Bands Winner. There will also be a HOT TOPIC STAGE featuring UNDEROATH, BLACK TIDE, SUICIDE SILENCE, THE RED CHORD and 36 CRAZYFISTS.
The World’s Greatest Freestyle Motocross team THE METAL MULISHA is also confirmed to perform on all dates.

And they have the boring, self congratulatory press release to prove it!!!!!111:
New York, NY – On July 1, Slipknot, the Grammy Award winning, multi-platinum nine man hard rock enigma, will unveil its new imagery in an exclusive partnership with AOL Music, the web’s most trafficked online music destination*. This highly anticipated debut kicks-starts the launch of Slipknot’s new album, All Hope Is Gone, which is set for release on Roadrunner Records on August 26th. Masks are an integral part of the band’s identity and to reflect this point, AOL Music’s Spinner.com will host a retrospective photo gallery of Slipknot masks throughout their career, spanning all three previous albums and including the most recent controversial “Purgatory Masks.” The Slipknot mask unveiling will be featured on the main page of Spinner.com worldwide for 24 hours.
Slipknot is a groundbreaking nine-piece machine born out of Des Moines, IA. The band has sold over 10 million albums worldwide. Their last studio album VOL. 3: (THE SUBLIMINAL VERSES) was released in May 2004, debuted at #2 on the Billboard Top 200 Chart, selling over 240,000 copies its first week and 1.5 million copies in the U.S. to date. The album broke new ground for the band and spawned the hit singles “Duality,” “Vermilion” and “Before I Forget.” In November 2005 the band released SLIPKNOT 9.0: LIVE, a gold-certified double live album. December 2006 saw the release of the DVD Voliminal: Inside the 9. Certified platinum, it is a vivid, brutally honest glimpse of the world inside the band.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not trying to clown (OMG PUN) on Slipknot. In fact, the couple of times I’ve seen them live they were pretty badass. It’s just that, when it comes to masks, and metal, you can’t fuck with GWAR. Seriously:

One of my all-time favorite “bands” (it’s actually just one dude, James Dewees, but whatever…) Reggie & The Full Effect has a new record, Last Stop: Crappy Town, hitting stores in a couple of weeks. The record is a bit of a heavier, more serious change of pace from Reggie’s semi-humorous crunch-pop style, drawing as much Dewees experience as drummer for seminal hardcore band Coalesce than from his days as keyboardist for The Get Up Kids. You can check out a couple of tracks off the record, including “G” which was posted today, on the band’s Myspace ahead of the 6/17 release of the record. Take the jump to check out the obligatory press release, the tracklisting and to learn moar about some of the badass guests on this CD… (more…)

Everyone’s favorite middle-aged dudes in clown masks Slipknot will be raking in the dough this summer as headliners of the Rockstar Energy Mayhem tour, which will also feature Disturbed, Underoath, Mastodon and a shitload more heavy ass bands, basically picking up where Ozzfest fucked off. The tour is of course yet another brainchild of Warped Tour / Taste of Chaos founder Kevin Lyman, who seems to be pwning the touring festival circuit these days. Dates for the tour are after the jump. Stay tuned to Synthesis for a shitload more coverage of this tour (more…)
