Two Thousand FEIT

For the ultimate in comfort and quality in mens shoes - FEIT’s got it on lock…

FEIT is a luxury sneaker line created by former Royal Elastic’s Tull Price and Rodney Adler. They combine the best materials and artisans to create a high quality shoe. Each “komponent” (as Price and Adler call them) is designed and developed separately. FEIT takes extreme care in detailing the soul unit, footbed (borrows from military design to ensure comfort and stability), and most importantly, the “last” (the model for shaping a shoe). A good last equals a good shoe. As if the talent of Price and Adler wasn’t enough, FEIT acquired the services of a master last maker, 74-year-old Verdicchio Padrone from Italy. Coming from generations of last makers, his resume boasts making lasts for many high-end dress shoe brands, which I could not find. Regardless, these are like Manolos for men. If you’re a real pimp, you’ll start saving today so you can say you had ‘em before Jay-Z.

They’re pretty hard to find and they only carry mens sizes 8 through 13. FEIT shoes online at funkyshoes.co.nz or schuhstore.co.uk or pickyourshoes.com or jellydeal.co.uk.

  • HP Can’t Buy It’s Way To Being Cool

jayz.jpg So despite all those super expensive commercials showing rappers and hipsters doing a hand dance to all the cool shit Hewlett Packard computers can supposedly do, no one is really getting fooled. Everyone knows that Macs are where its at. Even dudes like Jay-Z, who probably got paid a few hundred thousand scrills to hawk HP in one of those aforesaid TV spots.

I mean, if you have enough money, and aren’t on some WoW or 1337 haxxors shit, why wouldn’t you buy a Mac? Unless of course, you’re super into Windows and all that. If so, I might have some PEN1S P1LLS to offer you, or HOT GIRL ON GIRL ACTION??? EH?

I’m Not Saying, I’m Just Saying

So it was “announced” today that Jay-Z was apparently stepping down as head of Def Jam records, which of course you may have read right here on this very blog about two weeks ago. Dude ain’t tripping though. He clocked about $82 million when he sold Rocawear this year, and whatchoo know bout Budweiser Select homie?

Depending on who you ask, Jay-Z is set to quit/was already fired as President of Def Jam Recordings:

A source told the New York Daily News newspaper: “He wanted big, big money from the owners Universal Music and that was way out of sync with the realities of today’s record business. “L.A. Reid, the Chief Executive Officer of Island/ Def Jam Records, and his boss Doug Morris have found Jay-Z’s demands excessive in light of the amount of time he’s spent on tour. “Everyone knows he’s not around the office much. Everyone at Universal loves him, but they just can’t justify paying him the money he wants when so many people have to be laid off.”

Much like the death of a comic book character, the retirement of a rapper is rarely permanent. It wasn’t long after Jay-Z called it quits that a new song popped up on a Budweiser commercial, leading to his first “comeback” album, Kingdom Come, which was pretty much a dud. Now, the New York Times is reporting the 37-year-old rapper/mogul is readying his second post-retirement release. The forthcoming album, American Gangster, is inspired by the yet-to-be released Denzel Washington film of the same name. Though Jay-Z had nothing to do with the film, nor do these songs appear in American Gangster, the album will be released in conjunction with the movie in early November.

In an hourlong telephone interview, Jay-Z, 37, who has spoken of spending his early years in Brooklyn both rapping and drug dealing, said that the movie had tremendous resonance for him and had sparked a burst of creative activity that even he found surprising. He has already recorded nine tracks, almost every one prompted by a specific scene.

“It was like I was watching the film, and putting it on pause, and giving a back story to the story,” he said.
