When he’s not busy pwning Mark Spitz and winning over 9000 gold medals, Michael Phelps is seemingly always rocking some shit on his iPod. Since for at least this week he’s bigger than Miley Cyrus, Yahoo! Sports lurked into what’s on Phelps’ iPod, and guess what? It’s mostly shit, shit and more shit:

While his pre-race tracklist varies, Phelps has said that “I’m Me” by Lil’ Wayne has been on his playlist in Beijing. Other artists that populate Phelps’ iPod include: Jay-Z, Young Jeezy, Eminem and Outkast. (What, no ‘Pac?) Occasionally, he’ll throw some techno into the mix, but usually keeps things rap-centric. Phelps doesn’t speak much about the specific songs he’s listening to, but he did tell NBC in 2004 that Eminem’s “‘Til I Collapse” was on his most-played list at Athens. In 2005, he created a playlist for the website Rhapsody that included the songs “Roses” by Outkast, “Burn” by Usher, “Overnight Celebrity” by Twista and  “Smile” by G-Unit.

  • Jay-Z Live At Glastonbury

Who knew Jay-Z could play the guitar? Or cover Wonderwall? Do you dig it or hate it? I think he kinda skimped on the lyrics & the actual guitar playing.. but he looks good with it I guess.

  • Jay-Z Is Too Rich

I’m so sick of the disgustingly rich. It’s hard not to be bitter in this sucky economy… Jay-Z just signed a 10-year contract with Live Nation worth $150 mil: a chunk of stock, $5 million per year for “overhead,” $25 million for acquisitions and investments, $10 million an album (for a three-album deal), and $20 million for publishing, licensing, and other rights.

Madonna also signed a 10-year contract with Live Nation worth $120 mil: rumored terms include a signing bonus of about $18 million and a roughly $17 million advance for each of three albums. She also owes Warner Brothers another album plus a greatest hits CD. She’s also negotiating a 2-concert deal in Dubai that will pay $24 mil. If the concert is 90 minutes, that’s $133,333 A MINUTE. All I got to say is, FTS, how about slippin’ me a $50 just for posting this and giving you free press on our super cool blog site? That’ll cover my drinks for the weekend as I attempt to guzzle away my broke ass blues. Send it here:

  • Jay-Z and Beyonce Finally Married

    Jay-Z and Beyonce

A bunch of folks are saying that Jay-Z and Beyonce tied the knot. The ceremony supposedly took place in Jay-Z’s Tribecca apartment. Guests to the purported event included Kelly Rowand and Michelle Williams of Beyonce’s old band Destiny’s Child and even Gwenyth Paltrow. The hip-hop power couple reportedly filed for a marriage license in Scarsdale, NY. There was no time for a honeymoon, though, as Jay-Z immediately returned to the road on his tour with Mary J. Blige. No official word from Hova or Beyonce camp as of now.
