The second iTunes festival will take place in London this July. Some confirmed headliners include James Blunt, N.E.R.D., Death Cab For Cutie, Pendulum, Feeder, Chaka Khan and The Zutons. More big name artists to be announced soon!

The festival had great success last year and will take place at Camden’s Koko this summer - which can hold 1,000 fans. The concert will be recorded to be sold on all iTunes stores worldwide. Free tickets will be available to contest winners and competitions will be held by London Media Partners.

Video Matt’s future wife Hayley Williams and the rest of Paramore have a busy summer ahead of them: touring Europe, doing time on this year’s Warped Tour, embarking on their Final RIOT! tour with Phantom Planet and Jack’s Mannequin and stopping by Bonnaroo, Bumbershoot and Dfest. As if Against Me!, All That Remains, Anberlin, Angels and Airwaves, As I Lay Dying, Bouncing Souls, Cobra Starship, Every Time I Die, From First to Last, GBH, Gym Class Heroes, Jack’s Mannequin, Motion City Soundtrack, Norma Jean, Paramore, Pennywise, Reel Big Fish, Relient K, Rise Against, Say Anything, Story of the Year, Street Dogs, The Academy Is…, The All-American Rejects, The Bronx, The Dillinger Escape Plan and The Vandals weren’t enough, it was announced today that Matisyahu and Chiodos will both be joining the mainstage of the 2008 Warped Tour for a limited number of dates:

The VANS WARPED TOUR 2008 Presented By AT&T has announced two new additions for a portion of this summer’s trek. Matisyahu will join the tour for the July 9 (Atlanta), July 10 (Orlando), July 11 (Tampa) and the July 13 (Jacksonville) shows. Also look for Chiodos to perform a one-night-only show on July 18 in Detroit at Comerica Park.

“I’m really glad this opportunity came up with Matisyahu,” notes tour founder Kevin Lyman. “He’s an artist I’ve always felt would be an amazing addition to the line up, so I’m excited to have him finally join us for a bit. It’s always great to have a band like Chiodos–who’s been a part of the Warped family since the beginning of their careers–want to come back after all their success to spend a day with us.”

If you dig Chiodos but don’t live in Detroit fret not, you can check out a couple dope videos of the band live from this year’s SXSW festival on the Synthesis YouTube page, along with more than a couple interviews and rap sessions with various members of the band. We’re here for you, man.

Personally, Spoon has never really done it for me. But any band with a former member of the Get Up Kids (in Spoon’s case, bassist Rob Pope ) is a band I will support. And besides, Spoon stacks cred like Visa. Here’s the release:

Following on a standing-room-only U.S. tour that culminated in the Don’t You Evah EP entering Billboard’s singles sales chart at #1, Britt Daniel, Jim Eno, Eric Harvey and Rob Pope-collectively known as Spoon-have confirmed their final live engagements of 2008.
This last run of Spoon shows will be preceded by a May 3 Britt Daniel solo performance at the Belly Up in Solana Beach CA. From there, the full band will be headlining the KNRK Pet Aid Benefit in Troutdale OR, playing their biggest ever New York show July 15 at Brooklyn’s Prospect Park, appearing at the Mile High and Pitchfork festivals, making their debut at the Hollywood Bowl September 20 supporting Beck, and concluding with a three-night residency at the Fillmore Theater in San Francisco-the last dates of the tour and first Spoon SF headline engagement since the July 2007 release of Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga. Tickets for the Fillmore shows go on sale to the general public May 11. These dates will mark the close of more than a year’s worth of touring in support of Spoon’s sixth full-length studio album, Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga, which was Spoon’s first Top 10 album and most acclaimed release of their career.
