Baby Boy is all over the radio with his new single “This Is The Way I Live.” Other than it’s simplicity, I can’t see why everyone is going nuts over this one, but they are. Anyway, being a New Orleans native Baby Boy has put together a remix of sorts to honor the Saints remarkable season. For some reason I always like sports-oriented raps, maybe because it’s one time you know rappers are telling truth. Anyway, here you go.

Granted I think the editing job done on Ego Trip’s White Rapper Show is pretty clever, Jus Rhyme manages to do a pretty good job and ’stand out’. He’s been quietly building momentum for his breakout show, and that was achieved last night in a series of events that made it hard to eat dinner. Last nights competition, which consisted of recording a song with Just Blaze, got real entertaining when Jus refused to rap about smoking weed in da club because it was in conflict to his message of righteousness. He flipped the topic, proudly delivering the above classic quote. They then went to the strip club where he enjoyed himself at the tip rail to his own song, but refused a gratuitous lap dance given to the winners. It might not read funny, but dude is a straight up character. Other classic lines in last nights episode include: “We got bigger fish to fry, like white supremacy” in response to his disagreement with his group, and when asked about his group, AR-15’s logo “notice what’s in the cross-hairs, it’s all white.”

So every once in awhile when I’m feeling particularly worthless and uninspired (which is actually more than every once in awhile, but whatever) I turn to good old Fecal Face Dot Com, which despite what it’s name implies, is not a bukkake site. It’s actually the spot to keep taps on whats going down (or up) in the greater Bay Area art scene, and beyond. Though they tend to jock a lot of the same shit over and over again, they always, and I mean always have some new weird shit for your ass (and even the shit they jock over and over again like Jeremy Fish, is still worth checking out). Anyways, they have a recently posted interview with this up and coming Bay noob named Matt Furie. Check it out. His work isn’t anything spectacular at first, but it kind of hit me in some weird, inner place. Kind of got to me, know what I’m saying?

And while you’re at it, you might as well check out The Polaroid Kid, AKA Matt Brodie, who is basically doing with his life what I should be doing right now, instead of this. If you knew me from the ages of 16-22, you know that I rolled everywhere with my stupid polaroid camera taking all sorts of weird pictures of weird people. But I just hung them on my wall, instead of stacking fame by posting them on the internet. Whatever though. Most of my Polaroids were just of my broseph friends and girls I was trying to jock, not sweet indie gypsy hippies or whatever the fuck most of the people are that this dude shoots. His shit is pretty tight though. Makes me almost want to get my Polaroid back in action. But film for that shit is expensive, and I guess I’d rather buy burritos than stack fame on Fecal Face. Bad move, but fuck it. Glory is fleeting but obscurity is FOREVER!

I don’t know why, but something about this girl makes me want to take her home, bathe her, make her dinner and kick it with her for awhile. You know not like do anything crazy, maybe just make out a little. Her bird is pretty legit to. Not sure if that’s a lovebird, or a parrotlet or what. Whatever it is, this chick is doing it right. Oakland is the new Brooklyn.
