Completely scary 70’s movie The Omen will be remade by Fox - filming will tentatively begin in October.

So, I stumbled on the new Depeche Mode video for their new single “Precious”…  Ok, I lied… I found it on a message board.  And so I watched it. It’s not finished (lots of storyboarding and CG need to be added) and I have no idea how iFilms got their hands on it, but, hey, not too shabby.

I used to be a huge DM fan, back in the day… Speak & Spell… Construction Time Again… And I’ll be honest, this song is pretty damn reminiscent of vintage DM… Probably the best thing they’ve done in years… Does it get me excited to hear more?  No.  I’ll never be a HUGE fan again… But throw me a few new tracks every now and then and I’ll probably enjoy the music more instead of the silence.

UPDATE: Apparently some stunade from QFilms, the company who was doing the video, put up the video on an unsecured site and a fan found it and posted the link… So when that happened, they broke the link… To quote Medazzadoll, “That dude is so fired!”

Weezer and Foo Fighters have announced six dates for their late-summer North American tour. If you’re a fan and you’re in these cities, you’re probably pretty stoked.

Sat. Sept. 10 Sunrise FL Office Depot Center
Sun. Sept. 11 Tampa FL St. Petersburg Times Forum
Tue. Sept. 13 Houston TX Woodlands Arena
Wed. Sept. 14 Austin TX Frank Erwin Center
Thu. Sept. 15 Dallas TX Smirnoff Center

They’ve also confirmed cities for the tour including: San Diego; Phoenix; Denver; Minneapolis; Chicago; Champaign, IL; Grand Rapids, MI; Detroit; Cleveland; Columbus, OH; Baltimore; Worcester, MA; New York; Philadelphia; Fresno, CA; Seattle; and Portland, OR. More cities will be announced shortly.

So in case you were wondering, Nile is probably about the heaviest band EVER.
