Just Another Day @ Synthesis

Watch as an organized office becomes a land of anarchy and chaos (aka the Synthesis office). Seriously, the mess is a sure sign that we’re being productive! That dude wiggin’ out? That’s just Spencer dancing around to Daft Punk… and those seemingly frightened girls holding eachother are actually our interns swooning over Spencer’s chocolatey mane.

Shave and a Haircut (2 Bits!)

I just thought this was really cute…

Prong was TOO hard back in the day.

Me and my esteemed colleague Daniel James Taylor have been singing the praises of Prong’s metal masterpiece “Snap Your Fingers, Snap Your Neck” from their all around boss album Cleansing all day. So I looked up this video and instantly got reminded of the badd assery that Prong brought to the table almost FIFTEEN years ago. This was back when some of the best heavy shit was hot; Pantera, Sepultura, Helmet, Danzig etc. All of those bands still get regular rotation on my itunes, something I can’t say about a lot of the metal that is coming out today. I can’t say that I will be rocking the As I Lay Dying album that came out recently fifteen years from now.

Listen to the molten scooped solid state tone on the crunches and enjoy.

  • Metallica is being honored with their own version of Guitar Hero in 2009. Song selection might be a problem for the band, especially deciding whether to feature any of their new material. The Metallica version of Guitar Hero will probably include mostly tracks from the new album to up record sales.

Choosing the entire album Kill ‘Em All is unlikely but seems like it would make the most Metallica fans happy. Ride The Lightning may be a better choice for Guitar Hero because the featured songs are perfect for smashing buttons on a plastic guitar. This album could potentially be problematic on a game that plenty of youngsters play because it discusses the death penalty, etc. This would probably have to have a mature rating, limiting sales. Master of Puppets would be a better choice for Guitar Hero because after coming out, it reached a large and diverse audience. Metal fans who consider Master of Puppets the best metal album of all time could have a problem with it entering the video game world, but who knows? And Justice For All will most likely be included, or at least the popular track “One.” For now we’ll just have to wait and keep playing the Aerosmith edition.
