Non Profit Headcount.org teams up with Dave Matthews Band and other musicians to reach millions with a coordinated (Get Out And Vote� Email campaign.
NEW YORK, NY Non-partisan, non-profit voter registration organization HeadCount.org has enlisted the help of its artist partners to generate over one million e-mails to music fans reminding them to vote.
Dave Matthews Band kicked off the campaign on Tuesday, one week before the election, with an e-mail sent directly to the hundreds of thousands of fans on the band's private e-mail list.
(ELECTION DAY IS ONE WEEK AWAY,� the e-mail read. (Dave Matthews Band wants to encourage everyone to let your voice be heard by remembering to vote on Election Day.�
The message also contained a link to headcount.org, where users will find information on polling places, absentee ballots and how to verify voter registration.

I love it when bands do this. Cursive (Saddle Creek Records) have posted the individual tracks from their song “Bad Sects” on their new web site (http://www.badsects.com), and are holding a remix contest. I’d like to see who can make some rad, creative remixes. The winner’s mix will be included as a B-side. Sweeeeeet.

P990i The upgrade from the p900 is now out and I’m about an inch away from buying it. 2 megapixel camera, an RSS reader, 30 frames per second video recording, email, video calls, full function web browser with java support, memory stick duo support for expansion and 1 million other things. This might be the best phone ever.
