On the heels of the rerelease of their quintessential Bleed American CD (which was retitled Jimmy Eat World shortly after 2001’s terrorist attacks for some idiotic reason) Jimmy Eat World have annouced a string of North American tour dates, which will doubtlessly feature thousands of screaming post-teens trying to relive their high school years shouting for the band to play “The Middle.” BE THERE!!!11 Maybe I can go too, and get kicked out of the photo pit and screamed at by the band’s tour manager again for “shooting flash” even though it was the dipshit college newspaper photog behind me, get manhandled by said middle-aged douchebag TM, then get in a gigantic pissing match with the band’s publicist who will take his word over mine and we can all CC as many people on our e-mails as possible and then I can wait until she quits and gets a job somewhere else to start trying to set up shit with the band again. That might be fun!

Weezer’s third self-titled record (known as the “red” album, following suit with 1994’s “blue” and 2001’s “green” albums) was set to be released this July, but has been pushed up a month, most likely to thwart pirates. Here’s the release:
The streets can’t wait any longer: Buoyed by a single which reached #1 at Modern Rock radio a mere eleven days after its release to the format, and a tidal wave of buzz, Weezer’s new, self-titled album on DGC/Interscope Records has had its release date moved up three weeks to June 3.
The latest single “Pork and Beans” produced by Jacknife Lee (U2, R.E.M.) has been embraced by Modern Rock radio making it the quickest journey to #1 that any Weezer single has found in its illustrious history. The single has earned rave reviews in the UK’s NME and Rolling Stone.
The new album which is the third eponymous in the band’s catalogue and is being referred as “The Red Album,” was produced by the band, Rick Rubin, and the aforementioned Lee.

I know, it’s a big fat bummer Remy Ma got sentenced to 8 years in jail for assault, weapons possession and attempted coercion, and shooting Makeda Barnes-Joseph in the gut… That was practically a year ago! And she JUST got married! I mean really, can’t we let her have her honeymoon first? Since when does justice come before LOVE?
Speaking of love, be sure to check out her website, where she encourages fans to write “letters about how Remy and her music has positively affected you, influenced you, inspired you, etc… in hope that the judge will be lenient in Remy’s upcoming sentencing. Thank you for all your support. LETTERSFORREMY@GMAIL.COM”
Then click-on through to the actual content. First track that plays is “When I See Her” which goes a li’l somethin’ like this.
Nice of her to put the clean version up.
