Google Trends is usually pretty helpful in finding out what topics of the day are the most searched and popular. Last week the swastika was a hot trend but it turns out we were all lied to. Hackers are manipulating Google Trends so offensive words show up as hot trends. The swastika was first, now the words “fuck you google” flipped backwards to get through a spam filter. And I thought some white supremacist creepers were teaming up to take down the internet or something.

Speaking of lasers… during an outdoor rave near Moscow, 12 people lost their vision after viewing a laser light show that burned their retinas. Attendees at the Aquamarine Open Air Festival started seeking medical help a few days after the show. They complained of eye irritation and vision problems.

Moscow health department officials confirmed 12 cases of being blinded by the lasers and another 17 people from the rave are registered at City Hospital in the capital. They all have retinal burns and visible scarring which makes regaining vision impossible.

Due to a big rain, massive tents had to be put up at the rave. The lasers that normally illuminate into the sky instead reflected into the eyes of the people at the all-night dance party.

Everyone’s favorite sweet-sweet whiskey/ensured hangover Southern Comfort is hosting some fun music activities this summer in select markets. But something about their press release makes me not want to enjoy their spirits.

The SoCo Music Experience festival tour is going to six markets with each event showcasing five national performers with five top local acts on two stages all for the low price of free*. An outdoor venue is transformed into the complete festival experience – food and beverage vendors, poster and t-shirt shop, the local record shop, merch tent, cornhole games, photobooths and the SoCo & Lime Dome, among other areas. The festivals are open to be people 21 and over.

“Cornhole games?” Yeah, I’ve heard about that kind of shit going down at frathouses after one too many SoCo and juices.
