Will the world be looking forward to a lip syncing, hoe-down dancing, sugar-we’re-DEFINITELY-going-down bobbit? The world is shocked amid reports that Ashlee Simpson and squeeze Pete Wentz actually tried sex, let alone succeeded in creating the most doomed child since dear little Suri Cruise. It’s been said that they’re keeping things quiet (surprise, surprise) but that Pete pulled the ultimate romantic gesture and and went down, down, in an earlier round on one knee and popped the big question. Poor child.
With a mother following closely in the footsteps of Brittany Spears, in not only blonde ambition but musical skill (or lack thereof), one can only wonder if the rumored tot may someday be sporting the same therapist as Sean Preston, Suri, and J.J. Of course, one also wonders with a government that can follow internet conversations so stealthily, why didn’t they STOP THIS!!??! Please, let’s pray to the saints of sanity that it’s just a rumor and the stars are not once more populating our world with (dare I say it?) the curse of Hollywood.
Still, Star Magazine has a picture of the youngest Simpson rubbing her stomach (indigestion, anyone?) and you know what that means, BABY ON BOARD! Or some bad tacos..
If you actually care enough to read the full (or not so much) story, go here.

Don’t be a dick, bro. Don’t shit where you eat, bro.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Sometime between Saturday at noon and Sunday morning someone vandalized and robbed our private Double Rock skatepark. We opened the park in 2002, we have held contests, demos, and allowed tons of bros to skate it during the weekends. This time someone took it too far. Maybe (someone brought some other dudes,—regardless—the park is now closed indefinitely.
We know what is missing—we want it back. You know what you stole. If you bring it back safe and sound, we will leave it at that. If not, we hope you sell the stuff, get drunk, start bragging about it to your friends, and they hear about what happened and call to tell us.
Used to be a time when it was skaters against the world. Now it's skaters against skaters. That sucks. Whoever it was are losers, and you'll get what's coming to you. For now, if you have any leads or know of anything, contact Thrasher Magazine and/or Deluxe Distribution immediately by phone or email.

I’ve never considered myself much of an icon, but now that I’ve gotten my picture taken by Dan Monick at the Blood is the New Black photo booth at the UNITED Trade Show in Vegas, things have changed. I’ve arrived, so deal with it. Dan’s also taken pictures of Annie Hardy from Giant Drag, Slug from Atmosphere and fellow gangsters, the dudes who worked the kitchen at the Alexis Park Hotel.

Thanks for the tuna salad sandwich and fries. To see pictures of people far more fashionable than the cooks and myself, look here.

Hit the Deck at the United Trade Show went down last week in Las Vegas at the Alexis Park Resort. We arrived the day before the show to set up. The art show portion of United didn’t have the walls up yet, so we waited until about 4pm to hang the decks and ended up staying until 3:30am finishing it up. The show ran from Tuesday, February 13th to Thursday, February 15th with spectators coming in and out of the art room at their leisure. Hit The Deck was made possible by our sponsors, Draven and Ultimate Ears.

Next to Hit The Deck was a few of Dandelion Black’s Flesh series, an Abide Visuals section, and an exhibition from Blood is the New Black’s amazing squad of artists. We had the pleasure of meeting and hanging out with Blood is the New Black’s Travis Millard, Jeremy Relph, Patrick Jilbert and their ringleader Mitra Khayyam who are good people.
We ended up selling 12 of the 60 decks that were exhibited, some of which were arriving as late as Thursday. There are three more showings of Hit The Deck that are in the works. We will keep everyone posted on the progress of these opportunities to raise more money for The Global Fund.

Check out the following video of the United Trade Show, including the art show.
I have randomly cleaned up a few of the decks from the exhibition after the jump. More to come as soon as I can clean up more of the images.

As promised, here is another sneak peak of a pretty popular piece. We have been getting a lot of traffic due to this artist coming on board to create a deck for Hit The Deck.

While I don’t really listen to Linkin Park or Fort Minor, I do think Mike Shinoda is a pretty dope artist. I will especially be open to change my mind on their music after hearing the next Linkin Park album, which drops this March, is executively produced by Rick Rubin.
