13 miners were trapped in the West Virginia Gado Mine after an explosion pinned them two miles down the mine. The small mining town quickly swarmed with every news station you could think of as it has been the biggest news story the past four days. One miner was rescued alive 42 hours after the explosion, but rescuers were still searching for the remaining 12.
Last night around midnight the Gado Mine owners, International Coal Group, had a ‘miscommunication’ and relayed a message that all 12 miners were found ALIVE! The small mining town, who were awake and anxious on any news on the saftey of thier family and friends, rejoiced in the streets. The news spread like wildfire.
Even though they realized their mistake in communication 20 minutes after the initial report, the International Coal Group waited two additional hours until they announced the confirmation that all 12 remaining miners were found dead.
The town was notified. Newspapers were taken off the stands and replaced with corrected headlines. Tears of joy turned into cries of grief.

A 44-year-old German businessman whose digital camera was stolen at a restaurant was relieved when he managed to buy exactly the same model on the eBay Internet auction site to match his accessories.
But he became suspicious when it emerged the seller came from his home town. It proved to be the same camera.
Police said on Thursday they were questioning the 34-year-old vendor who, a statement said, “claims he got the camera at a flea market, but was also offering other cameras on the Internet”.
Good or Bad Luck you make the call.
