Lights in the city. GRL’s ‘Mobile Broadcast Unit’ can write on walls and get away without any prosecution a great deal of the time. Take a DLP projector, an astronomy camera, a laptop, some OF software, a Tricycle, a generator and/or battery/inverter combination and an outlawed laser pointer, mix them all together, and you have yourself an official ‘Mobile Broadcast Unit.’ Check it out in action below. Be sure to check out the rest of GRL’s stuff here as well.

From March 1st - April 7th, the Graffiti Research Lab is declaring NYC an OPEN CITY. All the streets and walls have been turned over to the bombers, pranksters and protesters. As a triumph for the GRL’s foreign conquests, and for all the anonymous public works made by servants of the street at home and abroad, Eyebeam is presenting an exhibition and series of free screenings and workshops that reveal the tools and tactics of graffiti writers, artists, protesters, pranksters and hackers who are reclaiming our cities by any means necessary.

Synthesis homie and illustrator extraordinare, Munk One, has created another amazing design for a great cause. Munk has designed a limited edition T-shirt in collaboration with 70*7. 70*7 offers a unique experience to contributing artists as well as its customers by printing a limited edition run of 70 shirts for $30 each. At the end of the run, $1050.00 of the sales goes towards a charity of the artists choice and $70 goes towards someone in need, that the artist knows within their own community. Munk has chosen The Whittier Institute for Diabetes for his donation.
