If you’re in Los Angeles and are looking for an open bar this weekend, head down to the Scion Installation L.A. at 3521 Helms Ave. (at National) for the opening of a new art exhibit titled Life Size. The opening reception lasts from 7 - 10PM, and the exhibit will feature works by: Esao Andrews, Grant Barnhart, FEEDtank, R. Grimes, LEBO, Ronald Kurniawan, Francesco LoCastro, Roy Miranda, Jen Stark, Manny Prieres, Christopher Ryniak, Josh Slater and Nathan Spoor. DJ Pubes (I know) will be on hand and there’s free valet parking. Don’t worry, your xB will be in good hands. I just got one myself–a 2005–and they really do make you a better person.

Brad Neely is a mothafuckin web illustration genius. What started as me giggling at the George Washington video (see below) led to me finding out more about the dude responsible. That led me to Creased Comics, which has been making me laugh for the last 45 minutes or so. Time Well Spent!

I was gonna link a few of his comix, but homeboy made it difficult to do so - you can’t just right click and copy that shit. I had to do some Web trickery.

Plus, in this picture, Brad is wearing a Grand Champeen shirt, and that band is tightness rock-pop. That makes me think Brad’s alright. Plus, he’s from Austin.

Rinpa Eshidan mixes it up and brings their concept of a transparent canvas to the streets. Watch Rinpa Eshidan design on some glass on the corner of some urban setting with Afra and The Incredible Beatbox Band in the background. This crew has yet to disappoint me, and I doubt they ever will.
