After a 450 year lapse in eruption, Chile’s Chaiten volcano spewed ash and lava more than 12 miles into the sky. The eruption prompted evacuations, with some people fleeing to neighboring Argentina.

Rodrigo Rojas of the National Emergency Office said the situation had deteriorated suddenly.

“Today the volcano is erupting with pyroclastic material on a different scale,” he said.

Luis Lara, a government geologist, said he did not expect a catastrophic collapse of the volcano, but “the eruptive column could, and that is sufficient material to be displaced down its sides and into areas nearby”.

Mexican UFO Might Be a Flying Woman

A UFO spotted, and videotaped, above Mexico is according to investigators some sort of flying humanoid figure:

The mysterious woman-like figure was caught on camera as it hovered above mountains in Nuevo Leon city. UFO watchers said the figure appeared to be wearing a cape leading to claims that it was a witch or wizard when it was first seen in 2006. Now Mexico’s leading Ufologist Anna Luisa Cid says the sightings were true after carrying out her own investigations.

Looks like a dude on a jetpack to me, but maybe I’m just not thinking out of the box.

Last night, after I finished reading Immortal Technique’s blog on the Police State Chronicles, I stumbled upon a very interesting video of Scientology Dissent presented by Anonymous, YouTube user Church0FScientology. While it doesn’t consist of much more than time elapsed footage of the sky and an eloquent attack on the organization of Scientology courtesy of AT&T’s Text-To-Speech demo, it’s definitely worth the two minutes and 3 seconds. I didn’t know Scientology existed until I read about the Norwegian girl that died last month, and that she was only one of many Scientology provoked deaths. Do you have the brainwashed by Scientology blues? Take a gander at these sites.

L.A. Riots and Grand Theft Auto 4

Pour out some of your 40 ounce for the 16th anniversary of the L.A. Riots and drink up in celebration of the release of Grand Theft Auto 4. Coincidence? I think not.

A tornado in southeast Virginia touched down today, injuring at least 200 civilians in Suffolk. Video of the path of the tornadoes destruction looks horrifying, and the Governor has issued a state of emergency.

The storm hit the 138-bed Sentara Obici Hospital, though Spieldenner said the facility was still operational and accepting patients.

A second storm, possibly a tornado, struck Colonial Heights — about 60 miles northwest, near Richmond — injuring at least 18 people, Spieldenner said.

Gov. Tim Kaine declared a Virginia-wide state of emergency as hazardous weather continued through the central part of the state.

The twister touched down just before 4 p.m. ET in Suffolk and plowed its way east into Norfolk, damaging scores of homes, stores and cars and downing dozens of trees and power lines, said National Weather Service meteorologist Bryan Jackson.

Mariah Carey = FAIL

Yes - I know the latest Mariah Carey release is yet another sign of the apocalypse. Want another sign? Watch little miss top heavy in her Good Morning America performance (it looks like her clown boobs almost made her fall down the stairs). It starts awkward and just continues to get worse.

I liked her better when she was crazy

Please somebody make it stop.
