From HITS: The reformed Smashing Pumpkins will launch Zeitgeist, their first album of new material since 2000, to be released on July 10, with a pair of residencies: nine shows at the Orange Peel in Asheville, NC (June 23, 24, 26, 27, 29, 30 and July 2, 3 and 5) as well as eight shows at the Fillmore in S.F. (July 22, 24, 25, 27, 28, 30 and 31 and Aug. 1). The band will play songs from the new album, classics and tunes written the day of the show.
