Attempted Assasination on AR Dem. Chairman leaves Bill Gwatney in Critical Condition

Wow, gotta love an election year, amiright?

An unidentified white male burst into Bill Gwatney’s office earlier today and fired 3 shots, leaving the Arkansas Democratic Chairman in critical condition. The suspect fled the scene, leading police on a 30 mile chase through the county, until the man was eventually either gunned down or took his own life.

Bill Gwatney, Chairman of the Arkansas Democratic Party, has been listed in critical condition after a gunman entered the party’s headquarters in Little Rock and opened fire.

According to witnesses, a white male entered the building and asked to speak with Gwatney. After Gwatney’s secretary told the man he could not speak to him the man walked into the chairman’s office and fired three shots before fleeing.

Gwatney was believed to be hit at least once and was rushed to a local hospital. The suspected gunman was shot by police and apprehended, his condition is not known.

Police say a man suspected of bursting into the Arkansas Democratic Party headquarters and shooting the party chairman has died.

Police say the suspect burst into the office of Party Chairman Bill Gwatney and fired three shots. Gwatney is hospitalized in critical condition.

Police Lt. Terry Hastings says authorities chased the suspect into Grant County, south of Little Rock, and that he was fatally wounded during a 30-mile chase.
