I guess I was mainly responding to the blurb from the studio which read in part: "A die-hard member of the NRA, Thompson was also a coke-snorting, whiskey-swilling, acid-eating fiend. While his pen dripped with venom for crooked politicians. . .etc." I doubt Thompson would have taken himself as seriously as you seem to take him. ooh! It always gets them so mad when you dare to simplify the works of their idols.
