According to former Synthesis hip-hop inspector turned freelance-scribe-for-hire (meaning, if you run a hip-hop mag you should drop him a line) C. Bloom’s blog, our friends One Block Radius have gotten themselves signed to Island / Def-Jam. Chico has known these dudes were on some shit for years, but soon the rest of the world will find out. If all goes as planned you’ll be seeing a Gurp City shirt on MTV sometime in the near future. Thug E Fresh better up his supply.
UPDATE: Forgot to add that like the man said if you want to check out some OBR you should definitely grab the Cut Some Static mixtape here. Shit is too much fame!

Upon first glance, I wasn’t really feelin’ this chair. I thought, “Oh legs on a chair, not a very original idea.” But then I looked at the legs and realized that there was something naughty about it. Something is definitely going on above the knees. THEN, I thought how cool it would be to have an erotic photoshoot with this chair. And I’m sold!
Here’s what Pharrell Williams has to say about the concept behind his design…
“I had often wondered what it’s like to truly be in love, not lust for once. So I decided not to ask what it was like in someone else’s shoes or what it was like to sit in their seat. I decided to sketch out my own experiment; the perspective chair.” - Pharrell Williams, co-designer of Perspective

If you’re wondering why the previously unstoppable churn of our blog has slowed to a snail’s pace, its that the majority of the Synthesis office is currently suffering from a debilitating case of WordDepression, which has necessitated the inputting by hand of the oodles of HTML code that makes our blog fancy. And since we’re all basically lazy pieces of shit, we’ve been sitting on our hands, waiting for our blog-guru Na3s to come through and save the day once again. However, something happened today, of such great magnitude, of such utter import that I am forced to bring it to you, hand-coding and all.
This event is known in office parlance as “Worth My While,” which is what we call it when someone sends us free shit, making our time spent building this machine worth our while. Today’s bringer of worthiness are our old friends at Saucony shoes, who were kind enough to lace me and fellow Synthesis Editorial Mastermind Spencer up (pun intended) with a free pair of Saucony Jazz kicks just because we rep their shit on this here blog. And this isn’t even the first time! Back in 2006, Saucony was also responsible for saving the lives of myself and Mr. Teilmann at SXSW, when they provided us footwear suited well to the marathon of walking that is covering SXSW, something we had both neglected to think of ahead of time (note: the dudes who used to play basketball in Chuck Taylors must have hated their lives after every game, or just been tough ass motherfuckers). If you’ve never worn a pair of Saucony Jazz shoes you seriously don’t know what you’re missing. They feel so smooth its like walking on a pair of babies asses. If you’re feeling adventurous, pick up a pair at Zappos.com TODAY!

So the moral of the story is, even if you have a busted ass Wordpress blog, you can still get rad ass folks at sweet shoe companies to recognize game. Thanks Team Saucony!!!111

All counties in California will now be able to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples starting on June 17, 2008. The Supreme Court has until they close on June 16 to make a final decision to grant the legalization of gay marriage. Typically the court’s ruling would go into effect 30 days after the grant was proposed but a group opposed to gay marriage wants the decision to wait. They want it to be reviewed again during the November election when the ballot would define a union between a man and a woman.
If this does pass it will overrule Supreme Court and create change. The new marriage licenses would include “Party A” and “Party B” rather than bride and groom to be more gender-neutral. Now we will just have to wait until June 16 for the final say.

I just really like this new single, “Life of Da Party,” by Snoop Dogg, Mistah FAB and Too Short. I especially like how they’re combining Northern and Southern Cali so the Nor-Cal/So-Cal dispute can FINALLY be over. Thanks, Snoop. Yay Area.. Long Beach.. where you at?
