The now defunct Get Up Kids are quickly becoming to emo-pop what Far was to nu-metal; a must-have on the list of influences, even for bands that really sound nothing like them. Recently, both Kris Roe (frontman for the Ataris) and Sherwood have payed their personal homage to TGUK by covering the song “Holiday” off of Something to Write Home About (BTW, if you don’t own this record, you’re fucking BLOWING IT!) with, let’s say mixed results.
