We are in one so our government needs to begin to be honest with it's own people. America is really owned by the Corporations and has been since Jimmy Carter took office at least! Time for Americans to wake up and unite and tell Washington we are sick and tired of being poor. The Average American cannot even pay for gas to get to work, however the employers will not even keep up with the inflation so we can afford to get to work!!! But the CEOs get their Golden Parachutes still. I’ve been saying for months this country is in a depression!! We are in one so our government needs to begin to be honest with it’s own people.

I would prefer the whole world to hate us than feel sorry for us. (I would really not chose either... but if I had too....) Also - I don't think that they are feeling sorry for us, more like worried that they are going to be right behind us on the way to depression. most of the world trade is still done in $. the American market is one of the biggest importers and other economies are linked to the u.s dollar....
