Yawn:
Omaha police said nine people were dead, including the alleged shooter, after shots were fired inside the Von Maur store at Westroads Mall on Wednesday afternoon. Five more were injured, two critically, police said. Police asked family members to go to the Hampton Inn at Westroads to learn more from police. The police chaplain was seen arriving there after 4 p.m. Wednesday to meet with family members and officers who responded.
The shooter at Westroads Mall was identified as Robert A. Hawkins of Bellevue, according to the Sarpy County Sheriff’s Department, and a suicide note said he was going to be famous. Hawkins, 19, had been arrested on a couple of misdemeanors in November and was due in court this month.
Well I guess he got what he was looking for. Robert Hawkins, now officially an hero.

One Response for "Another Day, Another Mass Shooting Perpetrated by a Teenaged Gunman"
Like virtually every other person who has committed mass murder/suicide since 1988, Robert A. Hawkins was on antidepressants as reported by KETV 7, Omaha and had no reported history of violence until he got on them. Last month it was Pekka-Eric Auvinen who went on a school shooting spree in Finland. He too had commented on the web that he’d taken antidepressants. Two more kids turned into murderers by antidepressants to add to the likes of Jeff Weise who was on Prozac when he killed ten including himself at Red Lake, Minn. and Eric Harris of Columbine fame who was on Luvox. How many more mass murders is it going to take before people get the point. Antidepressants cause some people to become homicidal and suicidal. They now carry FDA-mandated Black Box labels that say as much. I don’t think that labeling is helping very much because we are reading about a serious mass murder by someone on antidepressants almost every month. Imagine how many people are out there just killing one or two people and themselves or just themselves on these drugs and it doesn’t even make the evening news. When will we demand that the FDA ban antidepressants entirely. And yet if someone light’s up a cigarrette, you’d think he just pulled the pin on a grenade in public. Go figure.
